This was probably an excellent course when it was maintained. I think probably because the course was sold
it was not keep up. I do know the company taking over this place will again make it a 5 star place to play. This
company manages top rated golf courses in Canada and other destinations in the world.

Could be nice. Doesn’t look like much work done on course. Hit ball down middle of fairway and can’t find it.

Deer Island has to be one of the top courses in Central Florida. We have brought a number of friends from back home and everyone love it. I have been wintering in Central Florida for the last 16 years and every friend or relative
that I have brought there have nothing but excellent comments about Deer Island.

Staff very nice but the course from tee boxes to including greens were terrible. I won’t play it again this year. I hope
the new management can make it back to a golf course. Sorry!

The course is in fairly good shape but the greens could be better. That could be because of the time of the year, It is challenging enough for any level of ability. It does have practice facilities. People are friendly and helpful if needed.

Back nine much nicer then front. I have played it a number of times and always enjoyed it. Can be difficult if you don't hit the ball fairly straight.

Nice course with many wide fairways. I think it would
satisfy all types of golfers with the various tee boxes.
Fun course to play, you can't always just pull out the driver and smash it. Greens are in good shape and aren't always easy to read.

The course is nice but not long or tough enough for low handicappers. It would be very good for all other golfers. People at the course were very nice and helpful.

The course itself was quite nice, except the greens.
Not that were weren't in good shape but were extremely slow and difficult to get use to. I would advise anybody putting uphill or against the grain to hit it harder then you think.

The only problem I had was I was a single behind a group
that was so slow and not very good golfers. After 6 holes
they finally let me threw. Now, I understand being a single
I shouldn't complain but 4 holes were open in front of them.
It would have been at least a 6 hour round or more.
After venting that problem, I must say it's a great course and I was fortunate to get on for around $30, I have played both courses and the play isn't usually this slow and I would play it for this rate any time, Thank you Golfnow

I played the course last year and said I would never play it again. I figured since it was $11 on Golfnow, I'll try it again. It wasn't in the best shape I have played but it also wasn't the worst. The fairways and greens were a lot better. I would play it again for $11 or $12.

I would play this course again. It is in good condition , not pristine.
Play was a little slow.

Challenging,well kept, but I found it slow. This was due to the
to the group in front of the group in front of us. I didn't see any marshals monitoring play. I will play the course again, hopefully if you have more good deals on it.

For the golfnow price of $16, I would play it again.
