TPC Scottsdale - The Champions Course
Played On 02/20/2017Yawn
This is a nice course but its proximity to the airport means that there are very few holes where the noise of the aircraft taking off and landing doesn't become intrusive. Our round got off to a bad start when the other pair scheduled to play with us didn't show up. However, we were told that we should still be finished in 4 hours. The front nine took two and a half hours - no sign of a marshall. A marshall was sent out after about 3 hours but it had virtually no effect because the 2nd nine was only 15 minutes quicker. I'm not sure why the 4 ball in front of us wasn't prepared to let us through but they (and the other groups ahead of them) should have been required to let us through. Ridiculously poor management. I would not recommend this course for the above reasons

Interesting course with 2 very different nines. Quite an enjoyable course with some really nice holes. Unfortunately the course is badly let down by the state of the tees which were mostly awful. Some of the greens look diseased. There is no course map and it was difficult to find our way round at times due to lack of signage. There are almost no practice facilities other than a net with holes in it and the putting green is a disgrace for a resort facility - only 3 holes right next to 1st tee on a green the size of a postage stamp. We didn't stay for food after our round as the menu was limited and very expensive. The golf staff were very welcoming and pleasant but they deserve to be working at a better facility.

Our first time playing golf in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The course was in good condition and it was a fair test of golf for mid-handicap golfers. Perhaps too easy for a better golfer than me. Good food in the restaurant too. I would definitely recommend it.
