Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course
Played On 05/01/2021Horrible condition!
Reminding myself once again to never play this course. Unbelievable bad shape. Fairways 50 percent browned out. The greens were the worst, bumpy and rolling horribly. So many better choices in the east valley.
Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort
Played On 04/17/2021Old time favorite, won't be back any time soon!
Bag crew was the best part of the whole round, they were friendly and on their A game. I prepaid for foursome, went and checked in and then heard on the starters radio 15 minutes later has he seen or heard from our fousome??? Slow round, 2 groups on every tee all day. The absolute worst part was that it's Saturday, they had one beverage cart which we didn't see until hole 9 and then it turns out she's uninterested in her job, rude and has no personality at all. (She's from Fenton, MI fyi San Marcos management) The coiurse also includes a halfway house to get drinks and it was closed as well. This all on a Saturday when the course is packed. The GM should be scolded for not taking advantage at bringing the course some major profit from food and beverages. There are just to many other good courses with great customer service that we will be playing before returning here, that's too bad!
Lone Tree Golf Club
Played On 07/31/2020COVID price gouging, pathetic
I like this course, haven't played here in a while. Absolutely disgusted to see a sign on the front door stating anyone who wants to ride alone will be charged an additional $10 for the cart. Are you kidding me?? At all other courses I've played with this is a free option (it should be!) and some courses won't allow anyone to ride together at all! Another oddity, this is the only course I've seen since January which have the rakes for the bunkers. So let's get this straight, the ball washers are covered, there's no drinking water on the course but yet it's ok for everyone to touch the same rake?? Get your act together, it's pathetic!
Western Skies Golf Club
Played On 03/01/2019Horrible!
Upon arrival, the guy who checked me in with no greeting whatsoever started with, "there's a 30 minute delay and the round will be about 4 and half hours". No reason for the delay or slow play. The range balls may be from the 90's, the tee boxes are crowned and the greens are bouncy and don't roll true at all. Play some place else, anywhere else!!
Ocotillo Golf Club - White/Gold
Played On 06/10/2018Gouging
Ocotillo is typically a nice course, no problem with it. But the beer costs are now completely outrageous and charging for range balls on a pathetic driving range is a scam. Not one even lie or footing on the range.
Las Colinas Golf Club
Played On 05/07/2018Great value. One major flaw.
Course for this time of year is in pretty good shape. Always befuddled that the cart girl can not accept a credit card only cash. Almost unheard of in this day and age. Not only can she not accept a credit card she can't even keep a tab open in the bar so we can pay when done. On top of that there is no ATM at the facility?? Talk about losing potential business!
Power Ranch Golf Club
Played On 05/05/2018Horrible shape!!!
This was so disappointing. I live right by the course and have played here at least 50 times. The staff on this particular day in the clubhouse, horrible. The starter, awesome. The course conditions specifically the greens we're almost unplayable!
Lone Tree Golf Club
Played On 09/27/2017No yardage markers!
I don't think I have ever played a course with no yardage markers anywhere. Occasionally a post with either 100 or 150 yards but nothing else on the course. Even most tee boxes did not have any yardage indicators very frustrating.
Thank you for leaving your feedback. Due to extra cart maintenance and a golf cart shortage, we did implement an individual cart fee to help offset some of the costs. During peak golfing times we are asking golfers in the same group (2, 3, and 4-somes) to share a cart with a playing partner. If a golfer in the group prefers to ride alone, we do charge an additional $10 fee. We decided to do this instead of raising the green fees for all golfers to prevent the price gouging you mentioned and allows us to continue to offer the best rates throughout the summer.
As for the rakes, prior to your play we did have some qualifying events that required the rakes by the organizers to be placed out for the players. After the events were played, we did pick the rakes up and they are no longer on the course. We do offer water on the course with filtered water fountains on holes #6, #9, and #14. These provide clean, cold water throughout the day for the golfers.
Thank you again for your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to give the background information to help clarify the situation.
