Coldwater Golf Club
Played On 03/18/2024Greens are in brutal shape!
Been playing this course for many years. They seem to have finally fixed their tee boxes, but they lost their greens, sadly. Spotty grass, inconsistent speed. Almost like us northerners would liken to winterkill. Pace of play was pretty good, mostly because hardly anyone was on the course! Cart girl was super friendly and we must have seen her about 6 times (again, probably because there was hardly anyone there). We won’t be going back until next year, when hopefully, their greens have come back.

What a disappointment! Played here a few times in the past and I'm ashamed to say that I've actually recommended this course before. This course used to be a must play in the east valley -- it certainly isn't any more! I'd guess that there hasn't been a maintenance crew on site for at least 2-3 days. Greens are in horrible shape and the bunkers haven't seen a power rake in quite some time -- golfers aren't even raking them afterwards -- why bother?? It's really too bad. The layout of this course is great, it has just been soooo let go.
Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course

Great layout! Pristine conditions. I've been a long time Verrado fan -- this one is great, too! Almost as scenic and maybe not quite as challenging as Founders, but the greens will take your $$. I just might have found a new favorite in the West Valley!

I've played this course a few times, dating back to when it first opened! It has never left my "must play" list when I'm in the area. Challenging enough (stay in the fairway!). The bunkers were a little inconsistent (Lord knows I was in enough of them!!), but other than that, the course was in really good shape overall.
