Our foursome of women played at a good pace and often found ourselves waiting for the guys in front of us. The ranger told US to pick up our play, not the men. Greens are tough, fairways pretty much wide open. The clubhouse staff and beverage cart gals were fabulous, but I'll never set foot near this course again because of the way we were discriminated against as to our pace of play. I know slow play & we weren't it!

The course played well - a little on the easy side, but a few holes with tight fairways offered challenges, especially to slicers like me. I wouldn't have believed that some courses are NOT female-friendly, but having played in an outing at The Links of Novi the following day, I can attest it is indeed a real thing. The staff at Fern Hill were fabulous, the course was in great condition & everyone we encountered on course was having a great time. Will definitely make this a regular playing spot!
