Worth the price!

Excellent day of golf! Staff was courteous and friendly, welcomed us and that led us for coming to play. Met in the parking lot as we parked with a cart for us and our clubs. Tee boxes were in great shape and had multiple boxes for your type of play. Course is well marked, didn't get lost, cart paths in great shape. Fairways were generous, allowing for a stray tee shot or two. Fairways in great shape, most divots in fairways were repaired by previous golfers. Greens were fast and in great shape, again very few divots marks, the course is respected. White sand in the bunkers, alot of bunkers. Different types of terrain made it beautiful and interesting. Cart GPS was accurate and helpful. Drink cart came by 4 times during round. Had lunch after round and the food and service was great. They even have home brewed whiskey. I highly recommend.

Excellent greens, but repairing fairways currently.

Staff very friendly as soon as I pulled up, brought a cart out to me to get my clubs. Practice facilities were excellent, putting, chipping and a grass driving range. Pretty empty first thing in the morning. Pretty course with flowers, palm trees, Spanish moss, water, white sand n the traps, a few bridges. Greens were in superb shape, rolled true. The fairways were horrible. Probably just a summer issue, but many of the fairways had areas protected by embarrassing sections of caution tape. I only ended up in "ground under repair" three times off the tee. Residential course, looks tight off the tee, but opens up nicely at 200 usually. Grounds workers were very respectful, moved off and shut down equipment when I needed to make a shot. There were coolers of ice and big cups for water on both 9's. The golf now deal was member for the day, included cart, practice balls, greens fee, and lunch. The lunch was anything off of a great menu and they had a bar with TV,s. I enjoyed my round, just wish the fairways were in better shape.

Even in the rain.

It rained most of the week that I played, but the course drained well and was an enjoyable experience even in the rain. Tee boxes were in great shape, fairways looked good even though the rain should have had them swampy, greens were in good shape as well. Some of the bunkers that were on the score card have been filled in on a few holes, but there is plenty more trouble to get into for a challenge. Nice driving range, chipping and putting areas to practice. Awesome staff that are there to take your clubs and clean them off at bag drop. I was allowed the use of a locker for a change of clothes. Good times, I will be back again.

Laytonsville

Pro shop was polite. Starter Tom was super friendly and helpful. Started on back nine. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape for just coming out of winter. Greens were aerated and very sandy. Difficult to get an approach shot to stay on the greens, very fast. Sand traps were fresh and well groomed. Good mix of tight and open fairways. Seemed a little short, but that was fine by me. Beautiful surroundings, I recommend and will play again.

Great course, but expected something more unique from Disney.

I'm from Baltimore, so sunny and 78 in December is always a prize. Followed the many posted signs to the course easy enough. Bag drop was waiting for me to pull up, and eager to assist with getting my bag to a cart. Free range balls are always a plus, and I was asked how many, not given a bag of 20. The driving range has you hitting over water and I enjoyed losing balls in the water that were not my own. The tee boxes were in great shape, the fairways were excellent and the rough was easily playable. However, the greens were sandy and a bit slow for my taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My phone died while I was out and Jamie from London allowed me to use his phone to call for my ride. Overall a great course, but I was expecting something more unique from Disney. Maybe a sand trap in the shape of Mickey ears?
