Played On 04/14/2022Spot on muni track
At one point this was a really nice course. It still has the bones. Now it is an underfunded muni that needs lots of love and money to bring it up to a standard. It is perfect for someone new to the game. The fairways are pretty wide, not a ton of water carries and decent size greens. My wife has only been playing for about 18 months now and it is a great spot for her. I bring the neighborhood teenagers over here. (I’m not taking them to the country club as a big group)

Gotta love a nice warm summer day, everything is green flowers are blooming... maintenance crews are all back to work. Throw in a week with no rain and hot sunny afternoons and we have greens running 13-14 on a stimp and approach shots bouncing right on through like you hit a cart path! Putting from the fringe is THE shot of the day. The flip side of that is that drives are finally running out after impact and we get to play shorter irons in. The course is in great shape and starting to get a bit more crowded. They are doing a better job than most with tee time spacing and having a starter keeping things in check. (No 6somes followed by 3 different singles all hitting into each other all day like some other course was earlier this week)

Played On 06/11/2020Best greens on the South side!
Caught it on a sleepy Thursday morning with no real traffic to run into and made the loop in a straight 3 hours. One day after some big rainfall and the maintenance staff was out pumping out sand traps and cutting the rough. The fairways are in nice shape with any irregularities clearly marked as ground under repair. I played the blues and the tee boxes were not tracked up. (Even the par 3s didn’t have a lot of divot lines). The stars of the show at this place are clearly their greens. Clean, lush, nary a ball mark in sight and by far the fastest I’ve played in the Atlanta area. They were probably rolling about a 12-13 stimp after the dew burned away. Not super long and there are good approach shot options everywhere. The greens will tear up your score card quick though if you don’t get a handle on the pace. Some great movement on the greens and long putts can offer up some big breaking opportunities. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will most definitely be back.

Played On 05/31/2020Great greens
Good layout that can certainly play long . Lots of open landing areas and bunkering everywhere you want to cut a corner or go for a green. Could be a great place to score well if you play smart or a scorecard destroyer if you like to go for it all the time.
Thanks so much for your excellent review! We're so pleased you had a wonderful time!
The Oaks Course
Played On 02/14/2020Great value
Decent course layout. My first go round here and it is off season, wet and windy. So it’s hard to judge what the course might normally be like. That said, I will! I only hit one bunker all day and it’s a good thing I didn’t hit any more. Zero actual sand in the trap just good old packed solid Georgia red clay. That sure makes it tough to get up and down when the club just skips off the ground. The greens were in really decent shape and had a good bit of diversity between them size and shape wise. No really difficult holes on this track, everything is scoreable with a couple good shots. 2 of the par 5’s are reachable in 2 even from the tips on a wet day with zero roll out. It was certainly a fun round and I will be back during the warm season to hopefully enjoy some really fast greens. PS. Please replace all the missing ball washers and put some water in the few that you do have put there!

Played On 09/14/2017Interesting day
We play here regularly and it is normally decent bang fo the buck.
They aerated the greens this week so their condition was garbage as expected.
What was not expected was the greens keeping crews lack of even minor etitquette.
There were 3 different incidences of crew watering greens by hand where they didn't so much as move a hose let alone move off the green while we were hitting in. After hitting on to the greens in one of the cases, the lady went so far as to drag her hose across the green to hose down my ball and the area around it as soon as it hit.
Weird, rude and overall pretty offensive.

Played On 08/25/2014Tight older course
Since the BK / buyout situation a couple years ago, they have really fixed the course up. The greens were extremely fast and hard. (Tough to get longer irons to hold) and they have some good movement to them with brutal pin placements. Lots of large oaks and pines keep the fairways tight and driving accuracy pays off ( or kills your scores if you don't). It is not really long so accurate 3 woods off the tee pay off. My only complaint on the day was the bunker condition of the one that I hit all day. Soft under foot all the way up to my ball then when I hit my shot there was rock hard clay under about 1/8' of sand. Needless to say my shot sailed the green and resulted in a double when I was looking at a birdie. Rough day of not working huh? Overall a great spot and with their $20 hot deal is a screaming deal. I will be back.
Micke Grove Golf Links
Played On 02/25/2014Bang for the buck
I play here regularly. It is a decent course but nothing to get excited about in the way of terrain / features. There is enough challenge to keep your attention though. It has to be one of the very best values for the dollar out there. With that comes the associated hackers who take forever and have no common courtesy. Expect the odd fool to drive a cart out into the middle of your fairway while you are in the middle of your backswing on the tee. Expect to get a group of 6 with 5 carts in front of you. Expect to fix a number of divots on every green because some peoples children had zero guidance on the subject ever. Still worth it.

Played On 10/13/2012Very nice Muni
Always a fun course. It rewards playing fairways and greens and can bite you with some challenging scrambling shots if you miss. It is in pretty nice shape. I scored the first tee time so no pace of play issues :) the marshals were out early and very friendly. they were on it for the groups behind us trying to keep it moving for the day.
