Great Weekday Round

Had a noonish Wednesday tee time. I went out as a single but paired up with 2 guys from Fremont. Conditions were 75deg with a whisp of a breeze... PERFECT! Greens were punched (sometime) last week and were still recovering, so putting was a little frustrating at times. The fairways and rough were cut well, so errant shots were easy to find. The course was in great condition with minimal wet spots from last week's rains. I didn't play well but, golf was terrific!

Nice flat course

Course was really busy (and packed) but pace of play was good. Started at 1230pm and finished at 430pm for back to back foursomes. Tee boxes need a little attention, but fairways and greens were in good condition. We rode a power cart, but would come back and walk it with push carts.

Good little course

This is a 9 hole course... but has dual pins (for back nine play) and a couple of Par 5's and a couple of Par 4"s. There is no natural cover, so play this course in mid/mild weather. During hot weather, it must be brutal. Hit the bunkers twice and there was REAL sand! I was actually able to punch out with control. No real restroom on Hole 4, it's a clean porta-john. The snack bar/pro shop is REALLY small. Expect to have a microwaved hot dog and bottled/canned beer. I'd play here again, in mild sun, knowing it's limited amenities.

Great Sunday 900am Round

We had a foursome w/two women that drove avg 120yds from the tee. Started at our leisure with no one in front and barely anyone behind. We saw a twosome start after us... but they never caught up. Eventually a single caught up with us at the 6th hole and he played through. Pace of play was EXCELLENT. Back nine was quick as well. Course conditions were great. Greens were punched but not unplayable. Started at 900am and finished up at 115pm... not bad for a foursome w/two short hitters.

Great little course

Nice flat 9 hole course with a couple of holes you can actually use driver (under 230yds). Walked it and pace of play was great. I'm an intermediate golfer (13 handicap) and I was golfing with a (really) beginner friend and we didn't hold up the experienced foursome behind us. For being in the middle of the Pleasanton horse track (at the fairgrounds), the fairways are relatively generous and greens were in good order. Perfect place to get in a quick 9 holes and use most of your bag. Good place or beginners to learn and families to share the game with each other. I usually play Mare Island, Blue Rock, Cypress Lakes, Chardonnay, Eagle Vines and Napa/JFK... I plan on coming back to this nice 9 hole.

Great walking course

Great walking course for fast 9 holes or (fast) 18 holes. Even with the drought (in CA), the tee boxes were decent and majority of the fairways were in above average condition.

First time at BR West

First time playing BR West... played BR East several times. Course was in good condition, fairways were groomed and greens were true... even with drought conditions. Rough was a little tall, but probably to keep the moisture in. Staff was okay (as usual). Pace of play was.good.for Saturday afternoon... tee'd off at 232pm, in a foursome, and finished at 600pm. Shot my best score of 83! Take advantage of GolfNow deals for best pricing and try the "member's" West Course at Blue Rock Springs.

Great local course right after work!

Had a 430pm tee time... w/827pm sunset, plenty of time to get 18 holes in. Pro Shop staff was nice. Check-in was quick and painless. Tee'd off on time as a single (the single behind me didn't want to pair up). Tee boxes were decent but were a little chewed up from a tournament that just finished that day. Fairways were good, considering the drought... no major bad patches. Of course the wind was picking up (as it does after 400pm). The course was WIDE OPEN ahead of me and I wasn't getting pushed from the single behind. Shot my best round (ever) 84! Even birdied #15! Although I played solo,i I tracked my round with Game Golf, so I do have proof! LOL! Good early evening round after work (on a Thursday) for GolfNow $20! This was my second round at Eagle Vines in the last 5 days. Thank you Eagle Vines for the nice weekday experience.

Nice weekday round

Hot Deal at $21 for a 430pm tee time. Course was great. Staff was good. Played as a single. Course was wide open until the 7th tee box. Caught up with a 4-some of hackers. This is where a Marshall would've been good... because they didn't volunteer to allow me to tee-off and play-through when they they were still on the 7th tee box... oh well. Played behind them through the 8th hole, again, a Marshall would've been nice... allowing the single behind me to catch up! Both me and the single ended up just "riding past" them on the 9th and pairing up for the back 9. Played some of my best golf and finished at 730pm (3hr round). Wow! If I stayed behind those guys... I would've never finished by sunset (810pm). Other than them... which Hiddenbrooke cannot directly control (with the exception of a Marshall) it was a good afternoon/evening.

TERRIBLE regardless of drought

Paid the $5 via GolfNow for myself, wife and young son for 9 holes walking... please know, I've walked this course twice before myself (January and February 2015), conditons back then were "ok." OMG terrible course conditions! Fairways and rough are full of dandelions, overgrown and filled w/weeds. The greens are dead brown and the soil completely cracked throughout. Think "Tin Cup" but 10 times worse. Any 1st shot or chip landing on the (brown) green just overruns... no grass to stop/slow your ball. Bunkers have weeds/dandelions. Tee boxes completely chewed up. Very sad. Do not waste your $5 (plus service fees) at Grayson Woods. Even the 18 hole putting course needs the cups and flags repaired... many cups raised above putting surface (defeats the purpose of putting to the hole).

Great PAR 3 course!

First time we (my wife, 10yr old son and me) played this course... it was great! 2 days after all the heavy rain and the course drained better than most 18 hole full courses I know! We were pretty much "alone" on the course. Other patrons were nice. Staff was friendly. Mostly iron play, with 1-2 holes you could use your 3/5 wood. Tee boxes were in okay condition. Greens were okay as well. This is NOT Pebble Beach, but... it IS a family-friendly course where you can have family-time golf and not stress about the complete ediquette of the game. Highly recommend this place to families wanting to enjoy stress-free golf at.a.good price (GolfNow).

Great price for challenging course

Front 9 is a "traditional" styled course. Back 9 are "links" style. It's nice to have two different courses within 18 holes. Some of the tee boxes needed some maintenance and overhanging limbs on the Blue Tee Hole #11 needed to be cut back. Greens were fast when damp in the early morning, but, slowed down as they dried out near noontime. Overall a good course for the money.
