Arroyo Golf Club
Played On 11/04/2016Red headed stepchild
Having played the private Mountain course on Tuesday, Nov. 1st, perhaps the comparison is unfair. Layout was good but not as exciting nor challenging. Good practice facilities and friendly staff. GolfNow green fee was 43 dollars cheaper than the private Mountain course rack rate but the course conditions were not comparable. However, I would return.
Royal Links Golf Club
Played On 11/02/2016A Question of Timing
A relatively quiet day I played as a single so the pace of play was perfect. Hard to judge the authenticity of the reproductions of the famous links courses as I have only played a few of the originals. The Royal Troon "Postage Stamp" and Old Couse "Road Hole" were fun and true. Read in the local paper that Walters Golf was in the process of selling the course. Conditioning confirms this.
Reflection Bay Golf Club
Played On 10/31/2016Breathtaking layout
Well manicured. Superb layout. Great variety of holes. Terrific pace of play. Very friendly staff. I was told the stimpmeter reading was 10, but they were more like 8.5. Still, very enjoyable and fun to play. Will be back.
Talega Golf Club
Played On 04/17/2016Challenging and fun
Loved the layout. Unfortunately the greens were spotty with grass not fully covering the greens. The golf experience pivots on the quality of the greens. I would come back though.
Resort at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort
Played On 01/20/2016Understaffed
Cart died on 14th hole. After 2 calls to Pro Shop someone brought new cart to us on 17 tee. Pro comped me for lunch which was fair. Other than that it was a great experience. I would come back.
Canyon/Lakes at Spanish Trail Country Club
Played On 11/06/2015Excellent conditions
Enjoyable to play, course was in fantastic condition. However, almost all greens had numerous unrepaired ball marks (as did other courses I played this week). Five dollar up charge for range, GPS and four bottles of water was unexpected.
Revere Golf Club - Concord Course
Played On 11/05/2015Downhill Fun
Had to show my GolfNow email confirmation as my name wasn't on the tee sheet. Golf pro got me out anyway. Course was in fine shape and the greens were fast and tricky to read. Most holes played downhill leading to longer drives. Views of downtown Las Vegas were Kodac moments. Bowl shaped fairways helped to prevent lost balls.
TPC Las Vegas
Played On 11/04/2015I'll be back.
Fun course to play with a nice variety of well-spaced holes. Impeccable conditions. Very friendly staff.
From one Joe to another, thank you for choosing the TPC Las Vegas and taking the time to write about how much you enjoyed your experience!
Aliante Golf Course
Played On 11/03/2015Sun City in Sin City
Fun to play; not that challenging. You would guess it was a Dell Webb operation but it is owned by the city and managed by Troon Golf. Recent greens over seeding and bunkers needing maintenance influenced my rating. Not up to your usual expectations of a Troon managed complex.
Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course
Played On 04/13/2015Challenging fun
Course was in fine shape. Greens had good pace which is really what you pay for. Parking lot to Pro Shop shuttle service was spotty.
Dear shoelessjoe,
Thank you for your review of the golf course. I am happy that you enjoyed the conditions, but I apologize for the shuttle service. It can be a tall order to cover the entire resort with the shuttle service, but it is something that is on our mind and will continue to work on. We hope to see you again soon and have a great day!

Fine test of Pete Dye golf; great variety of golf holes. Challenging yet fun to play. Flags were all tucked today adding to the difficulty. Staff service was top shelf.
Stallion Mountain Golf Club
Played On 10/27/2014Green speed was disappointing
Fairways and tees can be shabby but since around half of the strokes are on the greens the bottom line experience is all about the putting.
Primm Valley Golf Club - Desert Course
Played On 11/30/2013One of the better values off The Strip.
Played the Desert this time out. The Lakes is slightly tougher but both courses are fun to play and worth the trip from Las Vegas. Greens were smooth and rolled beautifully - that is what we pay for.
Boulder Creek Golf Club - Coyote Run/Eldorado Valley
Played On 10/30/2013A truly enjoyable course (all 3 nines) with a nice variation of holes.
Beginning with the bag staff, pro shop and finally the 19th hole grill, this is one top shelf place. Greens putted true. Played all 27 holes in 3:20. Hooting and hollering from the parasailors at the heliport next door was entertaining as well.
