Played On 09/12/2017Very Hot - No drinking water
We played in September just days before the course was scheduled to close for over-seeding, so the very dried out, and the terrible conditions were not unexpected. The temperature that day was high nineties to around 103/104 degrees, again not unexpected. What was unexpected was that there was no drinking water on the course. Every water container was empty. The starter and staff were aware of the situation and the explanation was "The ice machine is broken". Perhaps they should have sent somebody out to BUY ICE so they could fill the water containers. There was a refreshment cart, where water was available for purchase at $2.75 a bottle, which was fine, except the cart was finished at 2pm when it was over 100 degrees.
Next time the ice machine is broken, and you have customers out on the course in 100 degree heat, GO BUY ICE!! In the name of good customer service, it is preferable not to have customers passing out from heat stroke.
