Best Value near Napa

This is a nice course with reasonable green fees. Several fairways are tucked between vineyards making it challenging and picturesque. Staff are all super friendly. Irons only driving range.

Bad Timing for Golf Today!

Being from out of town, we book most of our reservations online. The disadvantages of this is not receiving relevant course conditions and events. We showed up for our afternoon tee time only to learn that the course was still soaked from past rains so the driving range was closed and it was cart path only. In addition we were following a Community College shotgun tournament and they were all walking. Needless to say it took over 3 hours for the front nine and we ended up quitting after the 14th hole. I like this course and will probably play here again, but not before calling ahead to learn of course conditions. Live and learn!!

Friendly Staff!!

We were greeted with smiles by everyone we encountered upon arrival. Water driving range was unique! Course has a lot of water on it but the fairways are wide enough that it really is not a factor. Course needs some work!! Tee boxes were pretty rough!! Fairways were just OK and 1st cut of rough was a bit deep. Bunkers and washout areas could really use some work. Greens were in excellent condition and putted smooth and true!! Plenty of staff on hand to deal with your needs. Concession cart came by multiple times during the round. Pace of play was decent Pretty good value for this course and we will probably play it again in the future.

Nature Course!

How many courses can you play where you get to see a Black Bear run across the fairway, a group of four deer standing 20 feet away calmly watching you tee off and a Red Fox taking a jog down the middle of your fairway? That's what I saw during this round. This is a very nice course nestled in the woods about 20 minutes west of Dulles Airport. Almost every hole is surrounded by woods and several water holes make it a very scenic course. The excessively wet weather this summer has left some of the fairways in an "under repair" state but overall the course was in great condition considering the circumstances. The rough was pretty thick making it difficult to find your ball or to escape from. Keeping it in the fairways is a must!! Staff were very friendly and pace of play was decent. I would definitely play here again!!

Lots of Water

Staff was very friendly!! Beautiful course with plenty of water holes and a few narrow fairways. Course was in decent shape but the sand traps were unraked and hard. Tee boxes were just OK but fairways were mostly in good shape. Greens were excellent. Strange layout as the turn is after hole #8. Three par 5's on the front nine and one par 5 of the back nine. Driving range was disappointing!! Irons only (which is fine) but there was little grass left to hit off of. This is a fun picturesque golf course and definitely worth the Senior Rate we paid. I would play here again.

Beautiful course with picturesque views.

If you want to experience golf in wine country then you need to play this course. Nestled among the vineyards you'll experience many Kodak moments. Staff was friendly and courteous. Course was well maintained and pace of play was decent at 4 hours. I will play here again!!

9 Holes in 3 hours!!! NEVER AGAIN!!

Booked 18 holes through Golf Now and each tee time allows you to book from 1 to 4 players. When we showed up at the course they put us in a fivesome!! I asked the club staff if this was in error and he said no. We had one walker hitting from the blue tees, we were riding and hitting from the white tees and we had two ladies riding and hitting from the yellow tees. Every group going off was a fivesome!! The walker playing with us said this was normal. We should have been warned by Golf Now or the clubhouse before we made the reservations. Took us a ridiculous 3 hours to finish nine holes so we quit. Saw a Marshall out one time and he was doing nothing because what could he do?? This course obviously only cares about their net profit!! Never again!!

Great Value and Pace of Play!!

Played this course a couple of times. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Driving range really needs some upgrading. Mats are old and worn out. Tee boxes were very rough and fairways cut too short in my opinion. Several fairways you'll find yourself hitting off hard pan. Greens were in very nice shape and putted true and fast. Fringe around the greens was also in nice shape. Lots of attendants patrolling the course to keep up the pace of play. We played 18 in 3 1/2 hours. Fun course to play and no houses along the fairways.

Some very memorable holes!

I really enjoyed the opening and closing holes on this course which are out in the open with very scenic views. Most of the middle holes are situated in housing which made the experience a bit of a letdown. Course conditions were excellent and Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back and play the Mountain Course but not sure I would want to play the Dunes Course again.

Great course for the $$.

Got on this course for just under $100 at a reasonable time when other comparable courses were charging a premium for the same time slot. Course is well managed and maintained. Staff all courteous and attentive. I have played here in the past and will play here in the future.

Great Course for Out of Towners!

We were In Boca on business and I had played this course once before so decided to give it another try. Staff was extremely efficient and friendly. We were greeted immediately upon entering the clubhouse. The Starter got us going as soon as we were ready. The course conditions were very good considering the time of year. Pace of play was decent for a majority of the holes on the 4th of July. I would definitely play here again.

Nice course but slightly overated!!

Played this course based on previous ratings @ GolfNow. The guy that checked us in at the Pro Shop was not very friendly. Same attitude I have seen before when you book your tee times at an online site rather than calling the Pro Shop directly. Not rude, but not friendly!! Everyone else we came into contact with at the course was very friendly and accommodating. The grass area for the driving range looked decent but it was closed. The matts we had to hit from were in terrible shape and a medium size (not large) bucket of balls was $5. The course itself was in decent shape but nothing special. The greens were extremely slow and the rough was pretty deep and difficult to hit out of. My biggest gripe with this course was the fact that there was no GPS on the carts and no course diagrams of any kind on the scorecards. Several holes had blind dog leg shots where we had to guess the distance and possible hazards. I guess we could have asked if they had a yardage book for sale in the Pro Shop, but based on the green fees I didn't think this would be an issue. We saw drinking water on only one or two holes. Probably will not return.

Beware of current conditions!!

I have played this course multiple times in the past and I am always amazed at how nicely it is maintained for a public course. Due to the recent rains, this course is currently a mud pit!! It is going to take a couple of weeks for everything to dry out and conditions to get back to normal. Course is short and great for your average golfer. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this course from past experiences but I wouldn't play it again for a couple of weeks.
