It was my first time playing this course. For being in the middle of a city, it had more hills than expects. Then I learned the hills were train cars that had been buried several decades ago.

The course management isn't properly caring for the course. Most of the course appears to be dying and the greens aren't well maintained.

Also, there's no course marshal and some other groups were taking too long. It took about 6 HOURS to complete our round of golf (waiting 10-15 minutes at every tee).

This course has an amazing layout with fantastic views. The course conditions doesn't match the layout, as most holes were not properly irrigated.
Lastly, this course is very challenging as most holes play very tight and require that you carry the ball either 150+ yards from the tee or 100 yards over a canyon. Any deviation will result is loss of golf ball.

So this course was burned in a brush fire in the past year. While the grounds crew is still trying to repair the course, there are simply too many areas of dirt that should be grass. Excluding the deplorable dirt issue, the course layout is fun.

I was traveling to San Diego for work and booked a 3PM tee time using the course's website. However, my schedule changed and the pro shop had no problems with me starting at 1PM (and didn't charge the higher green fees for that earlier time).

The course is generally in okay shape. The fairways are a little brown, but the greens are doing great.

If you can hit the driver straight and over 250 yards, then there are several par 4 holes where driving the green is a definite possibility.

This was the first time playing the course. There was no wait to get on and we never were stuck waiting for a group ahead of us. The back 9 holes are much better that the front 9 holes.

I played this course as part of a golf tournament. The course is beautiful and relatively straightforward.

We started playing at 8AM in the fog, which lasted for 3 holes. The fog quickly burned off and the course was fantastic. Beautiful greens and fairways.

The big complaint is the par 3 holes often use sand on the fairways in lieu of grass. So it's painful if you miss the green.

This course is a par 70, but the narrow fairways make it really challenging. Holes 7 and 9 have amazing views. There's also a family of deer that live on the course, so it's common to see them while playing.
