Most of the greens have become infested with weeds AND there is no sand in the bunkers.

This was my 3rd and probably final time playing here this winter...almost time to head north.

It takes me about an hour to drive here from Orlando...but it's worth it.

Yesterday, I got paired up with a couple of great guys and had a blast.

The course is in great condition and the soaking rain on Sunday was a blessing.

The greens are very fast.

The snack bar was closed when we finished so we were unable to enjoy a pitcher of beer. Course should consider having it open longer.

Central Florida has been in a drought for 3 months. Yet the conditions at Eagle Creek are good to excellent...thanks to Orange County's reclaimed water irrigation system.

Fairways are good...Greens are good to excellent with speed just about right at 10....Tee boxes are a little parched.

A great outing before heading back north.

I play Ventura almost once a week during my snowbird season for many reasons:

I get to meet great people;
The course has many challenges and nuances;
It is usually maintained very well; and
the 18th hole is one of the best in Central Florida.

BUT today the greens were weed infested and of varying speeds...NOT GOOD!!!

Greens are in real good condition...fast and true.
Fairways are mediocre.
Good sand in bunkers.
This was my first time playing here this snowbird season because the greens fees were too high.

I haven't played Remington in about 3 years.
Instead, I've been playing Kissimmee Bay about once every 2 weeks during my snowbird winters.

BUT, I'm glad I came back. Remington now is far better than K Bay in every regard.

This course is about an hour northwest of Orlando so I only get to play here once every snowbird season.

It was a little cool today and quite windy, yet sunny.

Eagle Dunes is a very challenging course...much tougher than a slope of 114 from the white tees.

The greens are just impeccable...someone there knows what they're doing.

The fairways are a bit ragged...but I understand they have been subjected to lots of frost for 2 months.

Par 5 #18 is one of the toughest finishing holes in golf...and my par absolutely made my day.

First of all, the course has been improved 100% since the City of Oviedo assumed ownership.

Recently, I have been affected by a subtle change in course policy. I was told last week that if I wanted to have a solo cart, i would need to pay an additional $10 fee. I argued against that with a maskless pro shop employee, to no avail...and paid the fee.

Today I played there, got a solo cart, and got teamed up with 2 great guys, each with their own carts, who did get charged the extra fee.

After my round, I spoke with the General Manager, who was not wearing a mask, in the pro shop. That lead nowhere.

After I got back to my temporary Florida snowbird address, I called the Oviedo City Manager and we engaged in a very professional discussion about potential liabilities of the City pursuant to one cart rider transmitting Covid to another in light of the more virulent strains that are more transmissible and more deadly.

Staff said I had to ride in duo cart. I asked if cart partner was Covid-19 positive or negative.

Staff suggested I may want to play somewhere else.

I told him I would have my own cart...So he charged me more money.

My playing partners had there own carts...no extra money.

Met many other groups in solo carts...no extra money.

Does the City of Oviedo really want this liability in view of the new Covid-19 variants transmitting through the State?

I had a great time in spite of the ridiculous check in.

The doors to the club house and pro shop are clearly marked with "Face Mask Required".

I entered wearing my mask.

The customer in front of me did not wear a mask.

Pro Shop Staff did not wear a mask.

When I told the maskless staff he did not have a mask, he said he had asthma.

He then told me I was teamed up with 3 other golfers and we were assigned to 2 carts. I asked if my cart partner was Covid-19 positive or negative. He said he had no way of knowing.

He said maybe I should go somewhere else.

I told him I would have a solo cart. So he said he was going to charge me $10 for that privilege. I said, You charge me whatever you want.

The 2 guys I played with had their own carts and I passed foursomes that each had their own carts.

Does the City of Oviedo wish to take on the liability created by this staff member?

Had a great time today, having been paired up with a great couple and another single.

Staff waas great.

Course is in tremendous condition.

I'll be back.

Neither the fairways nor the greens are as good as they were during my previous round.

They are still good...BUT, additional staff attention is needed.

The bunkers are inconsistent with regard to amount of sand.

My first time at this great golf facility.

While hitting included practice balls, staff member asked if I would like to team up with 3 others and get out in front of a rather large group.

Well, I jumped at the chance and we had a fantastic time.

Very challenging course...lots of water, a ton of bunkers and thick, deep bermuda roughs.

The only criticism I would have is that the bunkers, many of which I found, are not consistent throughout the course.

The improvements to Twin Rivers since the City of Oviedo took over are great.

The fairways are like carpets and the bunkers havet been improved with the generous addition of new sand.

The greens are better but I would prefer them faster.

Great Job Oviedo & Twin Rivers.

If you are going to operate a golf course, you have to maintain it with staff and water and tlc.

None were apparent when I played today.
Conditions of the T boxes and fairways were awful and the greens were beyond deplorable.

AND there were 4 temporary greens.

I won't be back.

Great solo practice round this afternoon.

KBCC is one of my favorite central Florida courses. Love playing here.

Course is in good condition and greens are moderately fast and true.

I got a great pic of a Bald Eagle enjoying his trout on #18 after I hit my ball into his dining area.

My first time on this great tough course was very enjoyable.

Greens are very fast. Lots of bunkers and water.

Got teamed up with wonderful playing partners that made the day better.

I'll be back next winter.

This was a bonus round today at one if my favorite Orlando courses.

Covid-19 precautions quite adequate.

Both the fairways and greens need maintenance.

Regardless, I had a great Day of golf and my lowest round ever at this course.

Not many players out there today...so it was me, the gators and the sandhill cranes.

Greens had been aerated and top dressed, so putting was a challenge...has to be done though.

Actually, shot my lowest score ever at this course.

Overall a great day.

My first time at Orange Countu National.

Check in was friendly and easy.
Driving range great...Boston Bruins attendant super.

Got paired up with 2 great guys to play Crooked Cat.

Terrific, tough course. Great vistas.

This snowbird will be back next winter.
