We at a 12:52 pm tee...we got to the course at 12pm.

The golf professional sent us on out to the starter..and we hit the course early...weather was overcast...so we were glad to get earlier start.
Course play was good and we played in about 3 1/2 hrs.

the greens were in good shape, fairways were good considering they have had little rain and are under water restrictions.

over all great golf course...encourage you to play while at Hilton Head.

We play Hickory Knob on the July 26th at 11am. extremely hot...but the course was in very good condition. Good grass in the fairways..and the greens were in extremely good shape....held the ball on most approach shots.

Great golf course. Very good condition. We played right after several days of rain. But the course drained well and we had cart path 90 degree rule which helped with play. We did have two singles in front of us and they either did not know to let faster players play thru or would not allow people to play thru this added about extra 30 to 40 minutes our round. Otherwise great golf course and great round of golf

Overall the course is good. it is relatively new on the tour of Hilton Head. It is a good course...I was surprised the quality of the traps with the Fazio name were not real good...the sand was not the fluffy white I am use to at a Fazio course..it could be the drainage. the Fairways need more grass and better maintenance..need fertilizer and water...but the greens even though just aerated...were very good. this course will be good if the maintenance continues...but it does need work.

the course use to be one of the best (15 years ago) but it is simply gone down hill. I played it again because it was cheap $18.00 for 18 holes with cart. and for that it was ok...lot of fairways did not have good grass...and several greens were scalped and bouncy.

this course needs lot of work.
