Sanded greens two days ago, probably should have been less then $90. That said I would love to play Arrowood again it has some beautiful holes and is challenging bit not unforgiving.

Cool Lay out. Has some very interesting holes. The first cut of the rough was 5 inches of thick grass so you could be a foot off the fairway and have a hard time finding the ball. The fairways are wide enough so HIT EM STRAIGHT and Go Low !

They were preparing for Over seeding so the conditions were not what I was expecting. I am sure that it is usually great. Every other aspect of playing Bears Best was wonderful. I will return when they are not Over Seeding. Saw the biggest houses that I have ever seen along this course. The picture is of one home, I thought some of them were middle schools!

The fairways are dead. The greens are nice. The cheap prices gets all of us deal seekers to buy in so the pace is HORRIBLE. Because of the crowds. The members are also packed In there.

I was very disappointed. Which very rarely happens.

Beware that it is very affordable but the price reflects the quality.

PS. Staff was nice.

Drove over an hour to get there and was well worth it. The greens are tough enough when you are not familiar with them. Having them recently punched did not help.

Beautiful course but the greens were terrible due to a fertilizer mishap that burnt them up this summer. They should grown back by the fall of 2014 hopefully. Everything else was top notch. It is a challenging course that is still very playable / enjoyable for a 15 handicap like me.
I would still recommend it . They discounted the price for the green conditions. But the beer is $6 for a bud..... yes $6 bucks. Ouch !

Not super difficult but still very challenging. Most greens were dead unfortunately due to a fertilizer mishap that burnt them up. I played Sept 2014 they should grow back soon. I still very much enjoyed the course

I always enjoy Throncreek, It has some longer holes, challenging fairways, always tough greens to read. At least for me. But fun
I played in December and the course was in very good shape given it's winter.
A real good bang for the buck

The course is a very nice public course , lots of large old trees, some small lakes and creeks, If you get off of your fairway you will more than likely be in play on someone elses.
