Kiahuna Golf Club
Played On 07/02/2016Pleasant enough, that's about it
Pleasant enough round of golf but nothing special, and it's priced accordingly, compared to the nearby Poipu Bay course. Front 9 is wide open and forgiving. Back 9 is more challenging, but the routing is a bit goofy at times, starting with 11, and especially 14. Again, pleasant enough and priced fairly, but I wouldn't make a point of going there.
Woodruff Golf Course
Played On 06/19/2016Unremarkable very short course
Conditions are decent enough but it's a very short course. No par 5s. Just about all the par 4s are short, including a couple less than 300 yds. But the par 3s are on the long side, e.g. 190 yds or so. Overall, it's a very odd balance. Back 9 is a bit more interesting, but not enough to make me come back.
White at Gleneagles Country Club

A pleasant place to play, not too challenging, but nothing special. If your idea of average is Cog Hill 1 or 3, then this place is maybe just slightly above average. The course is a bit scruffy around the edges, but the condition of the fairways and greens themselves were fine. Paid $31 for a mid-afternoon tee time, but I've seen the greens fee higher at other times, and I'm not sure I'd pay $50 to play this course.
Naperbrook Golf Course
Played On 08/02/2015Good quality facility, great value
Any closer to the city or if this course were privately owned, I could easily see this place charging $15-20 more. Solid 18-hole links-style layout in good condition, even during these hot August days. There is some water and tall grasses to watch out for, but very playable and enjoyable for any skill level. Staff, in particular the starter, was courteous, friendly and helpful.

We are sorry we did not meet your expectations. Normally most find our course very challenging especially among players in your handicap range. The mix of birdie opportunities are heavily outweighed by the troublesome par 3's. There are many opportunities to make bogey or worse. You may have avoided trouble during your round but we definitely invite you back to see if you can play the course to your handicap.
