Played here with my son about 25 years ago. Played this time with my 8 year old grandson and two son-in-laws. Greens, Sand and course in great shape. Tee boxes beat up but playable. Staff was super nice. Our foursome played in about 3 hours. Grandson parred the 154 yard hole by hitting onto green and two putting! What could be better!
Ravisloe Country Club

It rained really hard the night before we played I called Ravisloe to inquire the Course condition before driving 45 minutes each way. The course said there were one or two holes with standing water when in reality there were 18 holes with substantial standing water on the fairways or rough. I’d love to play that classic course when a snorkel and flippers weren’t needed.

I have played this course many times in the past but I was very disappointed with the condition especially the fairways! Looked like war zone!
Heritage Oaks Golf Club - Classic 18

They have kept the course in relatively good condition.
The greens have a few bumps left by golfers without any etiquette. They booked us fairly close to the foursome in front of us and it took over 4 1/2 hours to complete. Holes are challenging and fairways and rough was in good condition. Sand traps were wet from rain. The concessionaire at holes 4 and 15 are rarely there and no card person this year. The waiting at every hole was a pain, but it was so gorgeous out it was palatable.

There were holes that without GPS yardage would have been impossible. This course makes you think; a lot! It is not a stand up and drill the ball down the middle 250 yards course, but due to slopes, angles and distances all shots require thinking about placement. When the wind blows like back nine yesterday this can be extremely tough course from the Gold {2nd back tees} tee box. Greens and tee box were a little chopped up, but that was to be expected in August.
Canyon/Lakes at Spanish Trail Country Club

Have played many courses in Vegas. Not to be compared with Shadow Creek or Cascade, but should be in next tier. Course was in great shape, tees, greens and fairways. I found the sand not very sandy; it was like hitting from a desert. The description that it was close to strip was entirely inaccurate as it was a $ 25 cab ride both ways. The rental clubs, {Pings} were adequate, not new and @ $55 were a bit pricey for day. Overall I would play it again, over Desert Pines and say it is comparable to Royal Links and TPC.
We hope to have you back again soon weather permitting!
