Slowest round, poorly maintained course

This course is filled with retirees who now have decided to pick up golf as a hobby. They move at a snails place, hack up the fairways, and take about 5 practice swings each. I made the mistake of coming out to this course while on vacation in the Napa valley. Wrong decision. I had to quit after the 14th hole because the pace of play put us at over 6 hours!!! On top of that, the greens were SLOW and bumpy. Putts were not rolling true, and there were so many fairway divots that I had to hit my call out of. I'm not a great golfer by any means, but if I am getting ooohs and ahhhhs for hitting a 250 yard drive, and the bunkers haven't been groomed since the beginning of th season, we have a problem here. If you are a mid-70's retiree who is looking towards golf being a hobby to kill time, then this is the course for you. On the other hand, for those golfers who are used to private well-groomed courses, shoot under 100, and expect to finish in a reasonable time, I would avoid this course. I will never play here again.

Hello,

I am disappointed to see you did not enjoy your vacation round with us. We truly do our best to ensure that everyone has a pleasant experience at our facility. We do employ starters and golf course ambassadors to maintain a steady pace of play. During this time of year we have a lot of family members in town enjoying time with their loved ones. Many players were most likely unveiling their newest holiday gifts for a first time. Again, we apologize for your unpleasant experience.
