The front nine was fine but the back nine, expecially 16,17.18 were horrible. Course is working in them but putting on the greens was awful. Having to put through areas of replaced sod around the greens was miserable. They didn't fare well with this past winters" cold and ice.

Although it was unseasonably COLD the course was in great shape and the people I was paired with were excellent. Actually got to ride with another "New Yorker" who grew up in Manhattan, like I did! We had a lot to talk about. Didn't keep score but had a good round. Wearing all those extra clothes and gloves made for cumbersome handling of the clubs but all in all it was a good round. Wish it had been at least 10 degrees warmer! I'll play this course again. Very forgiving for the ladies.

The course has undergone tremendous renovations in the last 3 years. It now plays like a "real" course and not like the cow pasture it was for many years. A pleasant surprise was that , through GolfNow, the price to play, on a weekend, was LESS THAN the regular member rate! It pays to use the website on the weekends!
I recommend it for ladies, since they have created tee areas that were never there before. It's reachable in 2 and capable of getting pars! New ownership of the eatery has made it a place to stay after golf for a bite to eat and a drink.

Although the course is in excellent shape, the pace of play is extremely slow over 5 hours, waiting at every hole. Packed with foursomes.
For women the 18th hole is impossible! Didn't like the moguls in the middle of the fairway. Lost a ball.
Greens run true but are tricky and very fast .Amenities are very nice and if it were not for the extra long round, I would have stayed for dinner.

Although there is no water on the course, the waste areas are plentiful and very stragetically placed.There are some long carry's over the sand but Ladies tee allows for the distances. I found it to be in good shape and the greens were challenging. I'd play here again.

Course is in good condition but lots of water comes into play on almost every hole. Although a ranger did come around once or twice, play was painfully slow on a Friday afternoon. I recommend it for intermediate players. Long carrys over water and very narrow fairways. Not particularly women friendly

lots of history surrounds this course and I'll play it again, next year. Very lady friendly, no matter what your handicap

What a shame to give up such a wonderful course for construction. What do people think the reason for the privitization was in the first place????
Let's make it semi private so the public can play and share some of the costs with the residents.
That seems to be the trend nowadays to save these pristine courses from destruction. Lovely course and very fair for the ladies. SAVE WINDERMERE GOLF!!

One of the nicer courses I've played. Although it was a long drive from my location, it was worth the ride.
Very well kept. Fair for the ladies with secured restrooms (need a code) /will play there again next year

Although there are many challenging holes, I scored fairly well. The course is under major construction and the greens are true but could be better maintained
Clubhouse and cart staff were excellent.
At the turn getting to the clubhouse for a bathroom stop was disastrous....way out of the way. lost 10 minutes. Would like to play again when the construction is complete
