Good Experience

A little concerned when I drove into the lot at 8:00 on a beautiful Tuesday morning and there were only six other cars in the whole lot. Good for me, but for Par 4 Management. I know they had just punched the greens the previous week, but have to believe for one reason or another Primm has fallen out of favor with LV golfers.

I was scheduled to play both the Desert and Lakes. I got to the first tee of Desert at about 8:30. There was no one in front of me, and one one behind. I took full advantage by playing two balls the entire round. I never had to wait on a shot, nor was I ever pressed from behind. Literally felt like I had the whole course to myself.

Conditions were good, but not great. Green had three days to recover from being aerated, but putted fine for the most part. The fairways were a bit patchier than I remember them being, but didn't have to roll the ball far to get a decent lie.

I was pleasantly surprised that on the 7th hole the car girl came by. She told me that the next group in front of me was on 13, and I know there was at least a 3-hole gap to the next single behind me. It was nice they still had a cart running with the playing schedule so light.

I hope the sparsity of play on this day was an aberration. Primm has always been one of my favorite places to play in LV. I'd hate to see it go under.

Overall the experience was a good one. I think the Lakes is a little more visually appealing than the Desert, but this course offers it's own challenges. It's a great layout. No complaints.

Great Option If You Get a Good Price

I had played Bali Hai years ago, and quite frankly was not that impressed. For the rate they usually charge, I think there are much better options.

However, I was able to get a $99 rate from GolfNow so I thought I'd give it another try. I'm glad I did.

I had a 5:00 tee time on a Sunday afternoon. I was the last tee time for the day, so I never worried about anyone behind me, and only ran into one group in front of me, which let me play through. I had so much time I played two balls the entire round, which in effect gave me a 2 rounds for 1 deal.

The course conditions were excellent from tee to green. Fairways were near perfect, and the greens were very well manicured and smooth. I'm not sure how they can build an island course in the desert, but they pulled it off with Bali Hai.

Course was challenging, but all the Par 5s are reachable in two. All of them, which makes it kinda fun to know some birdies are out there.

Overall experience at Bali Hai was great. I think far more highly of it than I did after my first time. I'd highly recommend.

Good, But Slow

Played the course on a busy Sunday morning. I enjoyed the overall layout very much. It was fun to see a little bit of old Vegas along the way. I imagine at one time the LV National neighborhood was among the nicest in the city. Sadly, those times are gone, but the course has stood the test of time.

Overall the condition of the course was average to slightly above. Greens were in good shape, though the fairways were a bit patchy in spots. No bad though - certainly playable.

My only issue would be pace of play. We caught up to the group in front of us on the back nine. We were on pace for a sub 4 hour round prior to that, but things pretty much came to a screeching halt on #11. Still, got the round in about 4 hours 15 minutes, which isn't too bad.

I like the course. I'd definitely play it again.

About Average

Overall experience was OK, but Siena has the potential to be more than it is. Oftentimes you tell from the driving range what the overall experience is going to be like, and this was one of those times. Range grass was fairly sparse and the practice balls looked they hadn't been changed out since the Eisenhower administration. Course conditions were fine, but not great. Greens were very hard, unreceptive and very fast. Anything above the hole was an automatic 3 putt. I would play again, but frankly there are better options in Vegas

Top Of Our List

Tuscany was one of five courses we played during a recent golfing trip. My friend and I agreed that it was the best....by far. Course conditions and pace of play were near perfect. The course offers a wonderful mix of challenging and scoring holes. We will definitely play Tuscany again.
