Great staff, very friendly.
Course has a lot of character and some really fun holes. Easy to get into trouble with the desert especially if you play the black tees but plenty of well groomed fairway if you keep it straight. Play the 18th from the uppermost tee box (have to walk up the hill) but bring your camera as the view is breathtaking.

To a person the friendliest people you could ever meet. The restaurant is very good again with a great staff.
Under 4 hours walking so excellent pace.
The one distraction is the state of the greens. Some areas are good but all too often bumpy with patchy grass. Hoping that gets corrected as it would be worth the cost with better greens.

I love the course layout, the staff, pace of play and the cost. For February the course was in fair shape the putts were true and plenty of grass in the fairways to hit off. Plenty of wildlife including the Sand Cranes which don't seem to care where you are.
For the cost it is very hard to beat this course and during my trip each year this is my go-to course. I encourage anyone looking for a fun but challenging round treated well by the staff to give this course a visit.

Not many amenities but the brand new clubhouse was just opened so likely this will improve.

Greens are a work in progress but playable.

Normally love Sweetbriar played there 40 times but this was painful. Cart path only but the amount of standing water and high uncut grass was painful. No Rangers and pace of play was 5 hours plus. Definitely should have offered some compensation or something as on this day not worth the cost.

Great value and totally enjoyed the course. Conditions were above average and very playable.

First time players are challenged with some odd shots but course was in pretty good shape and the staff was friendly. A little hard to find (behind a resort with poor signage) but other than that a 4 hour round so hard to complain.

Pace of play was good through 11 holes and then everything stopped. Had to wait on every tee and often two or more groups backed up. At 14 3.5 hrs in, we gave up and drove off. On 18 we found the LPGA group of 8 and literally every hole was backed up with players each asking what was the hold up. Unfortunate situation but really took what was a decent if cold day and ruined it.

Perfect day at a great course with excellent staff.

Pace of play was over 5hrs, tee off was late, there are no rakes in any bunkers so they all look like a war zone, greens have heavy sand on them and the fairways have lots of bare ground..
Nice layout and understand they are working on the greens but for heavens sake what excuse is there for no rakes in the bunkers and the ones that were there were half rakes or had the handles split.

Uncomplicated process to get from the car to the tee and while the course is not quite 100% we had few complaints over the 18 holes.
I enjoyed the course layout and will be back for the challenge again later this week. A few of the gold tees test your length but got a great lie in the fairway and sealed the deal.
Terrific value.

Great staff, good food, $2 drafts and a fun course to play. Lots of water and sand make it interesting but the staff is what makes this course. The starter does not go overboard trying to pair you up if not needed. The Blue tees are fun but lots of 3 woods as the length is a little surprising as the keep the course well watered so roll is not a guarantee. The staff is always working to fix any minor defects and keep the holes out of any challenged areas.
I end up here three times a trip as hard to beat the price and the staff is laid back looking to make your trip worthwhile.

Visited the course twice during our recent trip and just loved it. Unfortunately both times the pace of play was ridiculously slow. 5 and 5.5 hrs. No real reason that I could see but we literally waited on every shot. Hate to not play such a lovely course but around 14 I was getting the "is there a rule that says we have to play 18". The two groups behind us gave up and left.

This is my new " home" course. Not perfect but they allow you to play with your group, the staff respects the golfers and alway say "hi". Just a comfortable place to play with some fun holes from the Blue's. My wife loves it as the two of us can always get out alone so she can play her version of the game.
Greens are kept up and the back nine have plenty of trees to keep you honest.
