Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club
Played On 12/03/2019This course is a disaster
Came to play today. Purchased a round (18 holes) online but when weI arrived I found out that only 9 holes were open due to something the park management failed to notify the course director about. Supposed to be the same way tomorrow yet they are still selling tee times for tomorrow. Ladies club was going today and I hear that the men's club. Took over 5 hours to complete my round. Pathetic. The course manager (?) was doing the best he could but apparently had no support from the park ownership.n. DO NOT PAY TO PLAY HERE

This course could be so great but it just isn't taken care of. The greens have bald spots and drag marks that have been there for at least six months (when I was there last). The fairways require the player to move the ball to find grass to hit from. They have a new starter that is rude and apparently has no knowledge of golf. Talks in your backswing and made derogatory comments to the women in our group. Not sure why people live on a golf course as bad as this. It seems to me that the management/ownership either doesn't care about the course or they just simply don't know what they are doing. My guess is that its a little of both. They only positive thing I can say is that the pro shop is full of outstanding personnel. Paul (and I think his name was) Steve are knowledgeable and very friendly.
We are so sorry to hear about your poor experience with us. Our pro shop is quite outstanding though, as for the starter we have been looking to bring in someone new as well as someone new to take care of our greens. We do hope this helps!

This used to be a favorite of mine but over the past 3-4 months the conditions have steadily declined. The staff in the pro shop are great but that's where it ends. Tee boxes are alright (except for not being aligned correctly) but as soon as you get to your ball in the fairway you have to start looking for a patch of grass to hit off of. Greens were recently plugged and sanded but there are literally mounds of sand on the greens that push your ball off course. This happens all through the course. Don't know if they have a new greenskeeper or maybe the one they have knows nothing about golf. I grew up on a farm and this reminds me of hiding balls around in our pasture.
We appreciate you taking time to leave us a review, Guppy, and we hope you'll come see us again soon.
