Beautiful Course - Staff Could Be Better

Went on vacation to the SA area with a good buddy, decided on this course as we wanted a good challenge. Overall, beautiful course and the layout was great. We had a really good time golfing here and would come back again. Ended up getting a hot deal time slot which was great.

We dealt with 2 course marshals who were "friendly" but made some disparaging comments and one even asked what we typically shot, and was taken aback that it was our first time playing here. Even another golfer that was nearby laughed when he asked if we "shot at least 10 over or better" when I replied "yes, I tend to think that we do". We didn't find any humor, and it made us not want to golf here from hole 1. The staff that took our bags and readied the cart were great, same with the clubhouse staff.

Would golf here again at the end of the day.

Excellent Course in the High Desert!

I went with a buddy who used to play here as a kid and couldn't have been more pleased. I've played a lot of courses in Palm Springs and I would play this course more than some of the nicer ones down there. The greens were FAST but it was a very good challenge! The grass around the greens and even the rough was absolutely amazing. I felt like I could really bring out my wedges for some fun short game play. Don't hesitate if you haven't been here yet. Check it out! A lot of nice trees along the course and very well maintained. If I was staying in the area I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Nice challenging course, not worth the money

Being an Arnold Palmer designed course, I was very excited to play this one with a few friends. Overall, I enjoyed the challenge of the course. I don't mind paying >$50 for a round every now and then but given the state of the course, I wouldn't pay that again here. I would play this course again, maybe later in the spring or summer.

Beautiful Course, Fun to Play!

This was my first time golfing here and I couldn't be anymore pleased. The staff was absolutely wonderful. I grabbed a tee time online and when I showed up, found out that it was for their Par 3 course (Had no idea there was one there). I ended up playing 18 for the Par 3 rate, unreal!

The course was perfect and the view was amazing with snow still in the mountains. Top-notch fairs and greens, and their driving range was great too.

I will go here again and bring more friends next time!

You Need to Golf Here

We came when they were "overseeding" but no worries, there are 27 holes which allows them to rotate out 9. We played 2 different courses, with both being pretty challenging. Overall, I would golf here again. The course was amazingly maintained and the staff was by far some of the friendliest that I have EVER came across. Joe, the manager, is a gem.

You need to golf here. Great course, great service, heck, even really good food!

A Hidden Gem

The lower prices initially drew me to Kahili, I wanted to golf Maui and not pay $100-$200 a round. I was mildly skeptical as the other courses on island were much more expensive and the King Kamehama was right next door.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

This course was absolutely amazing and was by far WAY MORE BEAUTIFUL than so many others on island. I made a comment to my friend about some of the courses in Lahiana, how they were so boring (a few trees, all flat down by the water).

This course was great and challenging with some pretty good dog legs and a few water hazards/bunkers. The staff was great and made the experience even that much better.

If you're going to golf Maui, go here. Don't waste your money on more expensive places. Also, the views were absolutely unbeatable!

Excellent Course-One of the Best in Hawaii!

I recently played this course and I will say that after hearing about it for years, I was more than impressed to finally grace the fairways.

Overall I got a pretty good wakeup call, due mostly to the numerous "ravines" that I was warned about prior to teeing off. Make sure to study the golf card and see just where they are, mostly around the bends! I would've played a lot safer had I noticed them!

The fairways were exquisite and you paid dearly for going in the rough (thick bladed grass). The greens were the best that I've played in a long time. The rolls were true, as they played a little slower.

The staff was overly friendly and we kept running into Mel, one of the "Ambassadors" and he was not only extremely knowledgeable about the course and the history, but he was quite the hoot as well.

The landscape and scenery were mind-blowing. I've driven H3 hundreds of times and had no clue that the course was at the base of the mountainside.

I would play here again without a doubt. I got an amazing "hot deal" and only paid $25.00, you can't beat that.

Go if you haven't, you'll regret not doing it!

Great Staff-Great Course

This was my first time playing on the other islands besides Oahu. Apparently the Big Island is a burgeoning golf capital so being a couple decade golfer, I had to play. This course offered the best non-resident rates on the island. It's a little drive up the hillside but the views as well as the course itself was absolutely esthetically pleasing. Challenging, but not impossible. Nice hole setup! Overall, I was very pleased for the money I paid. Eddie, the cart manager, was amazing. He definitely made the round that much more enjoyable. Oh, and there are peacocks EVERYWHERE. Honestly, it gave us a good laugh to be monitored and sometimes chased away by them. They were great fill-ins for the course marshall.

Aside from everything great, I was a little dissatisfied at the course not offering the "resident" rate although I live and work in Oahu (I didn't have a Hawaii driver's license). Not a deal-breaker, but I was a little upset that I had to pay almost double, BUT, that was with every course on the island that I called.

Overall, definitely a great play.
