Rancho Solano Golf Course
Played On 07/20/2023Great golf but needs more marshaling
Everything was great except that there was a 2-some in front of us who were just ridiculous about waiting for the 4-some in front of them. Like waiting until they got off the greens before hitting 2nd shot on Par-5 except from all appearances, the guys on the green were more than safe. Slowed the round by an hour at least which made us quite frustrated and angry.
Lookout Mountain Golf Club
Played On 03/09/2017A little hard to find for the first-timer as it is part of the Hilton Hotel complex and the Lookout Mountain sign doesn't stand out well at the pace of the busy street on which the course is located. Otherwise, great place.
Desert Dunes Golf Course
Played On 03/06/2017I've been playing this course since it opened and have never stopped enjoying it. I love the merging of desert and course, hole and shot-making selections, mix of difficulty, etc. I have been angry a couple of times because of pace of play and there is no reason to try it on a windy day as it shares the wind tunnel with the giant turbines nearby.
Escena Golf Club
Played On 03/03/2017I'd go back to play if I could get around the same price but would be wary of playing there on a windy day or afternoon. The layout is interesting and one suspects would stay so on repeated rounds.
Firecliff at Desert Willow Golf Resort
Played On 03/02/2017In my humble high-handicap opinion, these courses at Desert Willow are among the finest in the entire area. One of the most appealing aspects of this complex is that the vacation dwellings do NOT line each fairway, but remain in background mainly. Each hole presents a unique and scenic challenge and it would take even the best golfer some time before he/she would tire of playing it I would think. This is the more difficult of the two courses, but I'm so bad, it doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me. It is a little pricey, but compared to other high-end courses, a pretty good deal and a great deal if you live in Palm Desert.
PGA WEST Pete Dye Dunes Course
Played On 03/01/2017Difficult angular Pete Dye that I have played numerous times without a lot of success. The 17th hole is a wonderfully difficult long closing beast that can just beat you to death if not playing well. Kindly old Pete, the 18th is a bit easier so that you end up on a higher note.
Native Oaks Golf Club
Played On 04/27/2014Sorry to let this one out of the bag
Phenomenal place--beautiful serene tough course. Once accommodations and a casino are added, will be tough to beat
Hiddenbrooke Golf Club
Played On 04/03/2014HiddenValue
My only complaint about Hiddenbrooke is that it sometimes gets slow. But compared with StoneTree in Marin county, the course is a great deal.
Thank you so much for the 5 star review! We are so glad that you enjoyed the golf course! We were just approved for new street signage in hopes of making it much easier for our guests to find us. We look forward to your next visit!
