10 & 19 at University Park Country Club
Played On 12/31/2015End of 2015 Golf Round
Greeting was odd as no one was in sight at the bag drop. After checking in and mentioning the bag drop absence of staff, the Pro shop person, Jill, was kind to walk out with us to explain the directions to starter, drinking water et, al (no signs to any of this at bag drop). The course is a good solid layout with some challenging holes and water hazards. The 9th hole plays longer with the green surrounded three quarters by water. Greens ran slow for our preference however, were true and fair. Overall a good course to play if the price is right.
The Club at Eaglebrooke
Played On 01/17/2015Great Layout
This course was an excellent challenge and layout. Very interesting holes and fairly fast true running greens. The last three holes are a great finish and will make you want to return again and again. The Pro Shop Staff was friendly and welcoming as was the starter. An on course marshall/ranger would have improved the pace of play a bit but, overall a course highly recommended to play.
Mystic Dunes Golf Club
Played On 01/12/2015Great Staff & Fun Layout
The best staff, and treatment received in all of Central Florida. Yes, the golf course is the objective however, when your round starts off with a genuine welcome & friendly end by the bag fellows, great pro shop staff and starter, it makes it that much more enjoyable. The course is quite interesting and a fun layout. Scoring can be good by a long hitter however, some trouble can be found on the sloping/ undulating greens. The greens ran true but, slow. The slow speed was due to the torrential rain from the previous day and evening. Would play this course again.

Played On 01/10/2015Classic Donald Ross
A friendly warm welcome and treatment by all staff. We were paired up with a very nice couple of intermediate skills with excellent golf etiquette. The traditional old layout was fair. It would have been well above average if it wasn't for several fairways seemingly burned out (ball bouncing unusually off line) and with the greens being incredulously fast, which were clearly almost burned out. Even the other couple agreed the greens needed help. Fast greens are preferred but, burned out is a shame as the course could be better test if the greens ran at a fair fast pace. Hoepfully, course super can sort out.

Played On 01/05/2015A Bit Overated - Good Back Nine
Upon arrival and check in the pro shop fellow barely said hello or even looked at us. He stuck his hand out not saying anything and I assumed he wanting payment ! Then he tossed onto the desk a key and said we could tee of whenever we wished. Though you play the golf course the odd unprofessional reception was not a good start. It seemed we had inturrupted his day as there was only one other group around the same tee time. We finally figured out the key was to the bathrooms... The fairway grass was long as they hadn't been cut for a few days; the greens ran true and good speed. The back nine was far more challenging and interesting layout. The pro shop staff at the end were two different fellows and they were quite polite and friendly. The course is overrated for the mid January prices. Play it before January 12th.

Played On 01/05/2015Great Back Nine - not so friendly greeting
Reception by the sole Pro Shop staff member was odd. He had his hand out for payment without looking at us and barely said good morning. Tossed the bathroom key on the desk to us. Despite him, the other staff members were good and friendly. The fairways were shaggy however, the greens were quite good speed. The layout is quite good with interesting and challenging dogleg par fours. The back nine has a better more interesting layout than the front nine, only partly attributed to no homes. The course was empty....we only saw one other foursome and suspect has something to do with their higher pricing for the quality of the course. Would play it again but, not at the price paid.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 01/03/2015Wonderful Layout
El Campeon was a wonderful treat and layout. Great views and undulating fairways made this course a really solid challenge. A few blind shots made you think twice before selecting a club and hence, the course very interesting. It was designed in 1917 and demonstrates how solid old designs can provide a great challenge to the modern golfer. The greens were quite slow and though they ran true, it was a bit of a disappointment as slightly faster greens would have made the expereince outstanding. The last three holes were outstanding despite the slow greens. Would like to play this course again, and highly recommend it.
Thank you for highly recommending our course and we hope to see you back again and again as well!
