Windy weather
Walked

Unfair large sloped excessively undulating greens. .

Pin placements on large sloped excessively undulating greens unfairly punished good shots by funneling balls off green into high thick rough and made mid-length putts virtually unmakeable. Lack of distance markers in fairways and on Par 3's bad for walkers. Good conditioning, nice flat tee boxes, firm turf. Best sand in metro area. Outstanding tee-to-green design and hole variety. Played in 4 hours on a busy afternoon.

Very well designed challenging rolling layout.

Staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Greens had been verti-cut but were still smooth, very quick and true. Anticipated playing a flat course but was very pleasantly surprised to find a well designed, challenging rolling layout. Pace of play was good and would have been excellent but for a computer glitch that had 3 unexpected foursomes with prepaid vouchers show up, which the staff explained and handled very well. Worth the drive from the Disney and Universal areas and will definitely play again on next Orlando vacation.

Sloped Greens Very Quick.

Staff and practice areas are excellent. Course makes good use of limited space along tollway, but too many holes look the same. Greens are very well maintained and challenging - fast, sloped, tough to read, some killer pin placements, so approach shots must be carefully planned. Tees and fairways very good. Scorecard yardages and cart GPS are accurate. Pace of play very slow, close to 5 hours, without any rangers moving along slow/poor players. Overall, a good course and will play one more time to see if pace of play is better..

Classic Fazio design with elevated greens

Nice layout exceptionally well maintained. Greens were near flawless and on the quick side. Sand bunkers had very good sand, both quality and quantity, without rocks or debris. Par 3's are challenging and memorable. Course plays longer than card because of elevated greens. All personnel, from the Pro on down to the maintenance staff, were friendly, low key, and accommodating. GolfNow Hot Deal price paid was a real bargain, especially in view of the course's regular rate, which, frankly, I would not have paid. No locker room. No bathrooms on front 9. Overall 4 out of 5 and a good experience.

Very Fast Greens

Difficult, challenging course. Plenty of elevation changes. Fairly treeless. Played on a cool windy day, which added to the challenge. Very fast greens, most of which are long, narrow, elevated and sloped. Mostly wide landing areas for drives. Few forced driving carries. Most greens cannot be reached with a run up shot - you have to fly it on. A number of greens can't be seen from the tee. Cart included in fee - walking 18 holes here would be a real trek. Excellent conditioning, especially for Spring. Very friendly staff. Starter really knew the game and cared about golfers, unlike the robotic clipboard starters at many courses. Big grass range and short game practice areas. Two suggested improvements: [1] Scorecard does not show course layout or drawings of individual holes; [2] cart GPS likewise does not show individual holes; it only shows a few yardages from small, hard to decipher icons on a white background. A great course like this should have informative scorecards and full color, full graphics GPS, especially for first-timers and non-regulars. Definitely want to return this Summer with my "A" game for a rematch with this tough course.

Every hole has character. Only a couple breather holes

Well-maintained course with quick contoured greens. Every hole has character. Only a couple breather holes. Long course to walk due to border housing and some rolling terrain, so get a GolfNow deal and use a power cart. No GPS, but sprinkler heads and fairway plates have accurate distances. Only maintenance qualm is that sand bunkers should have better sand and uniform consistency. Plenty of water. Multiple tees on every hole. The Par 5's are 3-shot holes and all the Par 3's are middle iron or longer. Even at full price. this gem is a bargain.

Quick smooth greens, shaggy fairways, real rough, not enough sand in traps

Traditional parkland course with mature trees. Super friendly staff. Quick smooth smallish contoured greens, shaggy fairways, real rough, not enough sand in traps. Pace of play slower than expected. Decent layout with a half dozen memorable holes. GPS on carts. Multiple tee locations accommodate golfers of all skill and length levels. Would play it again with GolfNow discount, closely mowed fairways, and another inch of sand over the hard base.

Challenging well designed course.

Course was better than expected with several memorable holes. Excellent greens and sand bunkers, but tee boxes and fairways were only so-so. Challenging layout, very tough when windy. Nice variety of holes except for the Par 3's, which all seemed to be about the same length. Most greens slightly elevated and require carry - very few holes where full shot can be run onto green. Starter Dunie a real pro. No ranger to move play along. No GPS on carts. Adequate range and practice greens. Definitely would play again with GolfNow discount.

Nice homage to Old Course at St. Andrews

Superfriendly staff made arrival a pleasure and getting started easy. Awesome clubhouse with first class restaurant. Wide open but challenging layout with a few memorable holes, but like St. Andrews many holes look similar and run parallel. Decent greens; real pot sand bunkers; very little water but strategicaly placed and very challenging when it comes into play; tee boxes and fairways were in very good condition. Some greens slightly elevated with false fronts but most approach shots can be run onto greens. No ranger to move play along. Accurate GPS on carts. Good range and practice greens. Definitely would play again with GolfNow discount.
