Beachwood Golf Club
Played On 06/21/2022Fun but needs improvement
I have played this course dozens of times dating back to the mid 80's. I have always enjoyed it, but for the price, this course needs to improve their conditions. The staff was nice, but the greens and fairways were average, with more grass needed. If they could find a way to improve conditions I would give them a 5. For now i would say that the price is a little high for what you get.
Eagle's Pointe Golf Club

I played this course several years ago and expected it to be in the same good shape. This time many of the bunkers had not been maintained, grass on the fairways was very thin and greens were in just average shape.There are many courses back home in better condition for fewer$$. The Hilton Head/Bluffton area has lost my golf business because the courses are too expensive. I guess the affleuent can afford 80-90 dollars for a good course.
Wild Laurel Golf Course

The greens were in nice shape, but many of the fairways were thin and hard to get a good lie. There are several holes that are difficult to play because of blind shots. Prior knowledge or playing with someone who knows the course would be a big plus.

I was put in a group with 3 other singles and we had a great time playing this course. Just pick the tee that suits your game and enjoy this course. True greens and great fairways along with nice views make this a must play course. I have been visiting HH for years and can't believe I never played here before.

Cobb's Glen Country Club

Cobb's Glen is a great bargain. The different tees make it playable for all skill levels. The course has a variety of holes ranging from easy to difficult. Make sure you add Cobb's Glen to your must play list.'
Saluda Valley Country Club
Played On 08/20/2013Great course, especially for the average golfer
Saluda Valley is an excellent bargain. The course is perfect for golfers who are "decent" but not great. Most holes have wide landing areas and the greens were in excellent shape. The clubhouse staff was friendly. This course is worth the drive from Greenville and surrounding areas.
Anderson Country Club

greens good but pin placements that day were very difficult for average golfer. If possible the course needs a fix for the drainage problem-several days after rain, several holes were very soggy.
