Forest Hills Golf Course
Played On 08/21/2017Above average Metroparks course with friendly staff.
A well kept and above average Metroparks course with greens and fairways that were in great condition for the middle of summer. Clubhouse and pub staff were extremely friendly and efficient in getting us out on the course and our first cocktail afterwards. Nicer on-course amenities would be nice, such as updated restrooms, a water cooler or two and either opening the refreshment stand that's there, or sending the refreshment cart out during hot summer days. Will surely return again.
Galleon/Brigantine at Shipyard Golf Club
Played On 03/28/2017A somewhat challenging course with very friendly staff!
I will confirm what other reviewers have stated, this is a shot-makers course, the driver doesn't come out of the bag often. I will also agree that the tee boxes as well as the fairways are a little rough, but that being said, we stay the winter in Shipyard on the course, and this club gets an extremely high volume of play. Kudos go out to the extremely friendly staff from your bag drop off all the way through to the Brickyard Pub on the 19th hole!
Grey Hawk Golf Club
Played On 07/15/2016May be going bankrupt?
Just as the title says, this used to be a first class gorgeous course, have not played it in a few years and was very disappointed at what it has become. Friendly staff and a re-launch of the pub and restaurant make for an enjoyable experience off the course, but that doesn't make up for the burnt-out fairways, unkept bunkers and random construction throughout the entire 18 holes.
Echo Valley Golf Club
Played On 07/06/2015A nice countryside course.
Echo Valley is just a nice quiet countryside course with some fun and challenging terrain. You will be greeted by nice people in a quaint little clubhouse. Enjoy a cold beer on the back patio afterwards.
Norwalk Sycamore Hills Golf Club
Played On 05/29/2015A lot of fun for little money!
A laid back casual atmosphere combined with extremely friendly staff will be what you come back for here. Keep in mind that most of the holes are low lying near a river, so it can be wet at times, and the last few fairways and tee boxes lacked some maintenance, but don't forget that you didn't pay very much to play here either.
Dragon Ranch Golf Club
Played On 05/22/2015Nice Facility without any Food or Beverage
Course was in great shape for the lack of any recent rain, and everything was nicely manicured. Currently there is no operators for the food and beverage portion of the clubhouse, be aware when planning any type of outing.
Eagle Creek Golf Club
Played On 09/26/2014Overall Great Experience!
Experienced friendly staff, a beautiful, well maintained course, and a nice restaurant with a fully stocked bar at the 19th. Can't get much better value for your dollar.
Fox Creek Golf & Racquet Club
Played On 09/19/2014Wet, wet, wet.
Although the course was very wet, when it had not rained in days, the fairways were well manicured and the greens in excellent condition. Upon arriving, carts looked like they had been through a mud bog, didn't take long to find out why. Course is well taken care of, golfers are not, for example, cart paths, restrooms, pro shop all show their age.
