The course itself is in rough shape.
fairways and greens were below average, but they were a bit wet.
There were no cart restrictions and a couple of the areas where carts should not have been allowed,showed deep ruts from previous drivers mistakes.

This course deserves better, the layout keeps me coming back, it is a fantastic layout, with tough and exciting holes. I really enjoy playing this course.

If you can get past the inconveniences around some of the fairways, the greens are playable and true… they just look weathered.

I think you really will enjoy this course, play it and prove me wrong, you will enjoy it
I know I do each time I play it.

I cannot wait until I make it back again

Not sure I can say this course is trending in the right direction.
I was more pleased with my last round, versus this round.
Could have been the pace of play that hurt us.
We had a twosome playing from the back tees, we could not understand why

Golfers unite,
we have another option in Palm coast. once again.
Pine Lakes, with its new greens keeper, must be added to the courses’ you MUST play
I know it has been way below average in the past..
Forgetaboutit…. THIS COURSE HAS MADE ITS WAY BACK TO PRIMETIME.
I guarantee, it’d you give it one more chance, you will say the same thing

This course has made some MAJOR strides in fixing its biggest problem… the greens
I would be the first to admit, this course was “stick a fork in it”… they were letting it go downhill fast…

Golfers do yourself a favor and try this course once again, I know you will be pleasantly surprised.
What a difference 6 months makes
Greens are about 90% back to normal, an unbelievable achievement, given where they were.
Keep up the excellent work Pine Lakes.
I love having this course an an option again

This course is tight with crowned fairways, bring a few extra balls.
The greens are absolutely phenomenal; unbelievable, when compared to the fairways that are screaming for a little more water.
Overall the greens made this course a MUST play.
I enjoy this course every time I play it.
Take the time to play this one, when you get a chance

This course is a hidden gem.
The course layout is fantastic, each hole gets better and better. What a great time we had playing it

The fairways can be a bit tight, but fair.
The greens were in better condition I. The front nine, not sure why the back was so different, a bit uneven and less green.

Overall play was stymied by a couple of twosomes that refused to hook up. In a world of Firestone’s, that just slows things down

Let me begin on a positive note,
the starter was top notch as far as friendly goes.
He let us know that the Azalea amateurs were coming in a couple of days, we figured we were in for a treat as far as golf course conditions were concerned

And now to the rest
Course layout is absolutely awful, I would imagine several people get hit or come close to being hit while playing.
Couple of the tee boxes were well within striking range of the previous hole.
The fairways were thin and screaming for water, the greens had bare spots… the tee boxes were lacking any lush surface, and far from being green.

we were told the course was in championship condition.
It is obvious the person on the phone, that told us that, has never been to a PGA event

I cannot understand how you would play any amateur event at this golf course, the states has so many courses to chose from why Palatka?
this one is a must NOT see
Don’t waste your time

This course will surprise you.
Great layout, and tight fairways.
Greens were in very good condition.
Course seems to get tougher as you progress through the round.
Enjoy it if you get a chance, I know I will be back

Pace of play was slow, looked like the course was booked solid for a Friday afternoon with the sun shining… think many of the players had finished the work week at new Smyrna beach golf course

These are the fastest greens I have played in Florida.
Lot of crowned greens…. They were in excellent shape for the amount of play

Great course, pace of play was a bit off, waited on every shot on the front, played fine on the back.
If you get a chance put this in the gotta play list.

This is a MUST play….
Very little water on the front nine, don’t let it lull you to sleep, you will need an extra sleeve of balls when you get to the back nine,
what a great back nine.
Greens were in very good shape, ball ran true.
sand traps were also above average… I love soft sand
Fairways are house lined, an errant shot can get you in trouble
Unfortunately we played on one of the coldest days I have experienced in Florida…think it was 49 when we teed off and the wind was howling a bit
Will definitely be back, to play this course again

Let me give you some perspective on the reviewer
I shoot consistently, in the low 80’s
I played over 100 rounds last year

Cart paths are suspect.
Fairways are sparse, very little grass, until you reach 16,17 and 18
.Sand traps don’t have sand, or racks
Price is to high, we paid 60 bucks on a Sat at 9 am
pace of play was very slow
Course is overrated.
Layout appears to be the most positive thing about this course.
Greens were slow, needed to be cut
If you’re looking for a chiropractic adjustment just ride what they call a cart path.
Will not be playin this course again
Sorry just being honest

Showed up to play the Hills course late morning on a Saturday
Was surprised when the starter advised we could go off whenever we were ready.
The fairways and greens on the course were in great shape.
Best greens I have played in this area of Florida.
Pace of play was unbelievable, we had a twosome in front of us and a twosome behind us…
Aside from those couples we had a solo pass us on the third hole, that was the extent of golfers we saw all day on the course.

We played the round in just under three hours,
Unbelievable for a Saturday afternoon round

Put this one on the list, you will not be disappointed
We will be back for sure

From running an LPGA event to
Cow pasture
What the heck have they done to this gem
They have lost several greens
The fairways are being ignored
Still a sporty track, but do not waste your time
You will be disappointed

If you are in the area...This course is a must.
Fairways were fantastic, Greens were top notch.
Greens rolled true and fast. my kind of greens
layout is a ten, there is room for your tee shots, but your eye goes to the sorrounding water or tree lines.
tight but fair
If you spray your shots, you will have to bring a couple extra sleeves of balls.

This course is fantastic, over the many years I have played it, I have enjoyed the rounds.
the layout is one of the best in the area, tough and tight shots are a necessity on this course.
if you spray your tee shots, you will not fair well on this course.
it looks like the fairways and greens are starting to be ignored, It is said to see this jewel neglected.
this year they decided to flip the nines, not sure why this decision was made, the old 18th or new 9th is one of the best finishing holes around.
got to be a way to renumber the holes and keep the 18th the 18th

the staff is non committal and always has been that way.
you walk away thinking they could care less

I would definitely encourage people to play this one in hopes they can rebound from the neglect

Hang in there Cypress Knoll, don't go the way Matanzas went.

Great course, sporty layout was fun to play .
One issue you have to take into consideration when playing River Bend is the cart paths or I should say lack there of.
You may need to visit a chiropractor after driving the cart paths
Fear the wooden crossing and wooden bridge
Course is still a must play
