Falls Village Golf Course
Played On 06/30/2020A fun track!
Greens roll true and the layout is really fun except for a few fairly deceptive holes. The fairways were very dry with lots of roll.
Was very impressed with the staff’s helpfulness and friendliness. Definitely worth more trips!

Progress for sure! 2017 has been a good year if you are trying to grow grass and the Northgreen staff have been working hard and smart. Still a few fairways that need some time to fill in but the majority are looking good! Greens are almost 100% back!!
If you haven't tried this course for a few years you need to give it another try!!
Cattails at Meadowview Golf Course
Played On 08/29/2017Tale of Two Courses
Course was interesting and enjoyable. Unfortunately they had aeriated their bentgrass greeds the week before so the greens didn't putt very true. I was also very surprised to see the large number of ball marks on the greens that had not been repaired.
Front 9 holes were virtually flat but still interesting. The back 9 was substantially more hilly and interesting. Three hole (11,12,13) were called the "Cat Trap!" Very enjoyable!
I was playing the yellow tess and the course was very easy in my opinion. Next time I'll drop back to the white tees.
I hope to try this in a few months when the greens should be at their prime!

We actually played the course 3 times. Walked once and rode a cart twice only because they will not allow walking before 3 PM. Bummer!!
I found the course a fun course that requires driving accuracy to score well but the fairways are wide enough to allow higher handicap player to play without loosing too many balls. Ponds and salt marshes are on many holes and they seem to have a lot of ditches 30 yards before a green!
Price is a little steep but the course was nice.
Only one hole seems ridiculous! #18 is a killer!
Woods/Pines at Tri Cities Golf Course
Played On 12/22/2016A Happy Return
I grew up playing this course with my Dad when I was a kid. My how things have changed! I played all 27 holes in 4 1/2 hours! First I had to rent clubs . . . and they had some really nice sets to choose from (Ping G30s). The PGA pro was a really nice, friendly guy!
Grass is dormant now but course conditions were nice! No complaints from me. Sand traps, while few, were well maintained and full of good sand. Greens were in good shape - bent grass I believe. A few difficult holes and a whole lot of fairly easy holes made my day quite enjoyable. I'll be coming back way more often then this last 45 year break!

Played On 10/12/2016A Hidden Gem!
Well off the beaten path, this 9-hole course is a unknown gem! The course is not a long course by any means, but it's lack of length is more than made up for with small Bermuda greens (I mean REALLY small!) that are surrounded by real rough! Miss the green and you pay the price! The fairways are generous but not expansive. The best news is that the course is very well maintained - good traps, nice fairways and excellent greens . . . did I mention the greens are small!! Members are super friendly and are very proud of their course but the course is open to the general public. Give this one a try and you'll be glad you did!

In the early 1980s Northgreen was one of the areas premier courses. But after a string of owners the course conditions eroded to the point where it just wasn't fun to play. Well . . . new owners and a great pro and course superintendent have totally turned this course around. It's almost back to its 1980s glory! Greens and fairways are back! The only thing needed is some bunker work and this course will be top quality (The recent Hurricane Matthew flooding only affected two holes and these should be fixed back up soon!). Fairways are generous but have out-of-bounds on both sides for virtually every hole!
