Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
Played On 09/20/2017Better than Lake Buena Vista
I golf quite often at my local courses, but this was my first vacation to Disney that included golf. I played Lake Buena Vista yesterday and Magnolia today. Lake Buena Vista was hard, but their greens still have not recovered from aerations. Fortunately Magnolia's greens were in terrific shape considering then recent aeration. The course was not crowded at all (2:45 tee time) and while playing with one other stranger who was a great guy, we had all the time in the world. No one behind us. A twosome in front that were fast. The course itself is real difficult (which is great), with a lot of water features, but if you can stay relatively straight and you can drive, you should be able to post a good score as long as you keep to the fairways and greens. The only reason I rated the condition as four stars is because the course is still recovering from a hurricane that happened last week. Everything was really dry though, but there's still a good amount of debris.
Overall, Magnolia is a must play if you come down here. If you had to choose Magnolia or Lake Buena Vista, choose Magnolia. But if I were you, I would play them both.
