Visiting Santa Barbara. This course is 15 minutes from SB in Goleta. I highly recommend. I paired with two locals. Great Guys. Their knowledge of the course was very helpful. A lot of blind tee shots. I was not happy with the additional $6.00 charge for range balls. The range balls and range could use some attention !

I played as a single. I joined a two fellas from Canada. We teedoff right on time. The pace of play was perfect. No waiting on any shot. I enjoyed my company. The guys were great. This is one of my favorite courses. I always enjoy coming here. Golf made it a perfect day with such a great price.

I arrived a early to hit the range before my round. I played as a single. The Pro shop said I could head right out if I wanted to. I asked how far out was the group in front of me. The guy said they were way ahead of me. I decided to skip the range and head to number one tee. When I headed down the fairway on number one hole I could see a foursome teeing off on hole number two. So much for way ahead of me. I made it work out. I paced myself to not push the group in front. They let me play through on number 10. I appreciated that. It was 107 temp in the desert. Finished in good time and pace. Went home and jumped in the pool . It was a Good Day !

I always enjoy playing here. This is one of my favorite courses in the valley. It was a little hot for this time year in the desert (100 degrees). The pace of play was great no waiting. I played as a single. The starter said a threesome was ahead of me, and I would probably catch them. I had a couple of open holes behind me all day. I was able to play at a nice pace and play and practice as a single the whole round. It was a good day. The only negative was the $ 7.00 range ball fee.

I arrived early for my teetime. The pro shop attendant said I could head right out if I was ready. I headed to the first tee. Their was no starter. I joined a couple from Canada. They had played the course a couple of years ago. I hit a good tee shot. Unfortunately it landed in the wash. You cannot see the wash from the tee. My playing partners could not remember a lot about the course. So just be conscience of the wash as you play. All in all I enjoyed the course. Course knowledge is always helpful. Now I have it. I'll be back.

I saw on GolfNow (9 holes only) that I would have to play the front nine twice. I did not see the notice until after payment for the round. I got such a great price that I didn't mind playing the front nine twice. I thought their must be some kind of outing on the back nine. When I arrived at the course I saw that they were having a Vintage Car Show on the back nine area of the course. I thought that was kind of odd ? I went to the front nine and played as a single. I was able to get some much needed practice in. My pace of play was perfect. I guess some people did not want to play the front nine twice.

I had an 11:51 teetime. When I checked in the attendant told me I had a 12:00 teetime. Not a big deal. I was playing as a single. The range and practice area was in great shape,clean and well maintained. I was called to the first tee on time. The starter told me I would be joining a threesome. Three women pulled up (I am a male). I was okay with playing with the ladies. One woman told me their husbands were teeing off behind them, And I would better off with them. I joined the husbands. They were a great group of guys. The pace of play and course conditions were perfect. It was a good day !

The rough was to long for a resort course. The pace of play was horrible. We waited on every shot. The greens were really slow. I played on a Sunday. I think the mowers took the weekend off. S.... happens. I'll be back.

This was my first time in Napa Valley. I was looking to squeeze nine holes in late in the day. GolfNow had a great rate at 2:50 in the afternoon. I called the course before booking to see if my wife could ride along. The pro shop said sure no problem. He told me they had a regular league starting at 3:00. I arrived at the course at 2:20. The pro shop let me start when I was ready. I played alone. I was behind a threesome. They moved along pretty well. I waited a little but not to bad. The course has a few rough spots on the fairways and tees but playable. The greens putted okay, they had a lot of hallmarks I repaired what I could. The course had plenty of length. All in all it was a fun round. The wife was happy too. We finished in time for Happy Hour.

I arrived @ 10:30 for an 11:07 teetime. I was nicely greeted at the bag drop by the cart person. In the pro shop as I checked in the fellow told me the back nine was closed and I would be playing the front nine twice. I saw the same info on GolfNow before I booked the time. SilverRock is such a nice course I didn't mind the front nine twice. Also the price was great. I went to the range before I teed off. Their was no starter, so I teed off as a single. I had a threesome in front of me. I waited on a few holes but not a bad pace. They only played nine so the second nine the course was wide open. I saw the Marshall a few times during my round. He gave me a nice ice cold scented towel to cool off with. A nice treat for summertime golf in the desert.

I arrived @ 30 minutes before my teetime. I was greeted by Dave (the Head Pro) when I checked in. He said I could hit a few putts and head out when I was ready. I was happy about that the temp in the desert was heading towards 115. I played by myself. The pace of place was perfect, no waiting. I always enjoy playing here. It's probably my favorite course in the valley. Dave is a class act. It was a great day.

I arrived at the course @11:00 for an 11:42 teetime. The parking lot was pretty full for the summertime in the desert. I went into the pro shop to check in. There were a few female golfers in the pro shop. I looked out at the range and noticed the range was full of female golfers. I asked the golf shop attendant if the course was busy. She said the golf course was holding a LPGA qualifying tournament later in the week. All the ladies were there for practice rounds today. I asked if I would be better off cancelling my round. She said the ladies have no teetimes they just go when their is an opening. I checked in with the starter and told him my concerns about a slow round. He said it shouldn't be to bad. I went to the range and found one open spot. The starter came down to the range and told me he paired me with another single and could get me off early. I paired up with a regular and the round went pretty well. A little waiting but all in a all a good day of golf.

The last time I played here the desertscape (rough) was overgrown and not maintained. Today all the desertscape was gone. They have removed and cleaned up the area nicely. Not as many lost balls. I played the South course. For summer golf in the desert this course was in good shape. I played as a single. The pace of play was perfect. Not much shade on the course so take lots of water. I enjoyed my day. I'll be back.

I played as a single. I got a great deal on GolfNow. They had a big event at the resort. Free (lol) valet parking was the only thing available. I was paired up with three Canadian gentlemen. Great guys. I wish I had played a little better. They were very patient. The course was in great shape. The greens had been painted. They looked a little weird. They were fast and putted true though. All in all a good day of golf. I'll be back.

GolfNow and the golf courses website made no mention of nine holes being closed for aerafication. I would not have booked the round if I would have been told about playing the back nine twice. With that being said, I do enjoy this course. It was a little crowded on the course. We waited for a twosome in front of us on a lot of holes. No Marshall on course. I mentioned the waiting to the beverage girl. The twosome came back to us and let us play through. The beverage girl went above and beyond her duties for us (Thank You).

We played as a twosome. First time playing course. A little knowledge of the holes would have been helpful. It cost us a few strokes, but we will know next time. The course was in great shape. The starter was helpful on the first hole. We ran into a couple of residents driving their carts on the course, not playing golf. We really enjoyed the course and will be back.

The greens were recently sanded. Some greens had piles of sand on them. Impossible to putt. Somebody is not paying attention to conditions. Pace of play very slow. One hour to play first three holes. The threesome in front was holding up the whole course. No Marshall. We jumped two holes ahead of slow group to pick up pace. We finally saw Marshall sitting in the halfway house. He told us to go back after we finish 18 and play the 2 holes we skipped.

The guy in the pro shop was in training, but he did a great job. We were a twosome. The starter was great, he got us off early. We paired with another twosome on the fourth hole. They were a good match for us, we enjoyed each other's company the whole round.The course was in excellent shape. The pace of play was perfect. The Marshall's were very attentive. I hope to see more GolfNow deals on this course.

The starter was extremely efficient and friendly. He paired us with another twosome. Nice couple, fun to play with. The course we played was getting ready for overseeding. The greens were pretty slow and rough in some spots. Overall the course was well worth playing for this time of year. It was a busy day, but the pace of play was perfect. A very enjoyable day. The gentleman in the pro shop who checked us in was not the most congenial. No big deal we came to play golf not socialize. The course was in good shape for this time of year. They will be overseeding real soon. I was not used to such fast greens. I do like fast greens. Took me a while to figure out pace and break on the greens. I really enjoy this course. I wish GolfNow had deals on it more often. I am a value shopper golfer (fixed income).
