Dayton Valley Golf Club

Great design. Challenging with several tee box options. Lots of water. Typically winter conditions, in the Summertime this place rocks. Jason in the Pro Shop is the best. I have played at least 50 courses in Nevada and this is by the far the best one for the money.

Saturday Morning. Nothing had been cut. Greens where furry and slow. The rough was the longest grass I have seen on a course, maybe ever. I am talking the rough right off the fringe. Easily 4 to 6 inches or more. Very unfriendly course conditions.

Dayton Valley is an exceptional golf course. Arnold Palmer design. Many lakes. Outstanding value and for good reason. It is not in the middle of the city. You will have to commute to this location. About 15 miles from Carson City and 30 from South Reno, but it is worth the time it takes. I believe Dayton Valley is the best course for the money in the State of Nevada.

Good, not great. Lots of forgiveness off the tee. 30% bad spots, greens and Fairways.

Dayton has new owners and they are making many positive changes. Today the greens were a little slow (recently airated and sanded) but they will get faster from here. If you are new to the course, it is worth every penny.
Strawberry Farms Golf Club

Course played like a mini. To many holes side by side. The back nine was better. Warm up area was small and tight. Driving range played up hill. Staff seemed like they didn't care if they had any customers. Definitely not worth the price.
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Dayton Valley Golf Club.
