From Texas, I met my cousin from Chicago to play here. Both our first times and we’re already wanting to make this a yearly trip.
The course was stunning. Nicest public course I’ve ever played on, and rivals the private courses I’ve been lucky enough to play. For the price, experience, friendliness of staff, restaurant, cleanliness, you can’t beat it. What a great time! Although it’s not a terribly long course, it has a great layout and you have to play strategically which is great fun.

Wow wow wow. A few holes under construction and STILL the nicest public course around. Compares to private courses I’ve been lucky enough to play at. Extremely nice and great value for the money.
New favorite course.

I would not play here again unless it was $10 a round. It was not a good course at all. Cart paths are terrible, fairways aren’t nice, tee boxes are worse. The layout is also extremely boring in my opinion. Just not fun for an experienced golfer.
If you’re new to golf, play here. If not, skip it as you’re not missing anything.

This course is in excellent shape almost always. It is still in great shape and in my mind the best course around. Greens don’t compare anywhere else.

They just had a $2 mil renovation in 2019 and now it's in great shape. A little soggy around the greens due to the new grass, but the greens, bunkers, tee boxes and fairways are awesome.
I bet in the spring and summer of 2020 it will be one of the best in shape courses around.

The Lakes has had a rough winter and beginning of 2019 with heavy rainfall most recently. The bunkers are not in good shape still but the greens and fairways are looking great. I have played here about 5 times this year already and have noticed a change. The better the weather gets the better shape the course will be. Overall it is doing great now minus the bunkers.

My first time in Indiana and first course I played at. Overall very good course. Rate of play was a little slow for a weekday as there were a few foursomes with older people in front. But the conditions were great, layout was decent and pretty well kept. I would come back again if I'm in the area and if there is a good Golfnow deal.
