Nice Course

Nice course and will play again. I like the layout which includes some elevation changes. some short but challenging par 4's, and some very challenging par 3's.Greens were in good shape and reasonably fast. Fairways were ok and rough was in very poor shape. Had some bare lies in the rough. I would attribute the poor conditions in the rough and fairways to lack of rain this winter. I have played this course twice and both times the pace of play was slow (approximately 4.5 hours to finish the round both times). The first time was due to a slow and particularly loathsome forsum. The second time was due to a crowded course. Overall the course is very nice and we will be back.

Better than some but not as good as most

I live on the course and usually play this course twice a week. I would rate this course as average (3 stars). In my opinion it is on a par with municipal courses I have played in Livonia Michigan and Davenport Iowa. The fairways are generous and well bunkered. There is some water but it typically only comes into play on a mishit. The only exception is one forced carry over water on a par three. The rough is cut short. The greens are teeny tiny and also well bunkered. The greens have been undergoing extensive work to bring them back from very poor conditions and are now looking pretty good. However, there are some rough spots especially around the edges. The greens are relatively slow but roll true. The course is not very busy especially in the afternoons. I typically play the course in 3 to 3.5 hours. My longest round was around 4.5 hours. The mid to high handicap golfer will like this course. The shoty rough and generous fairways make for an enjoyable experience. The low handicap golfer may be challenged by the small greens which require either very accurate long irons and a good short game to get up and down in 2.
