I had lived here for years and avoided the course, at the recommendation of others. But I was bored and there was a Hot Deal that was too good to pass up so I took a chance.

This happened to be the hottest day of the year thus far, and a week that the clubhouse was closed for some reason. I did not do myself any favors but not being better prepared, but I was not expecting a complete lack of water to be available on the course, a closed clubhouse, and a beverage cart that I only saw once. The point is that I became overheated and I'll and could not continue. Again, not necessarily the courses fault, but a warning for others to bring their own water.

As for the course, it is short and not overly challenging...but very pretty setting. The tee boxes and fairways were below-average and the greens had some real rough patches but were soft and somewhat true.

All in all, I will return for hot deals but wouldn't pay anything more than $25 for a round.

This is a typical Florida course, but definitely short and tight. The layout tends to bunch up people both times I've played here and the pace can seem slow, but I was still able to finish in just over 4 hours. Greens were true, course was overall in great shape.

Man this course is beautiful. Lived here for years without trying it (assumed it was private) and now I can't get enough of it. Wide open fairways, but don't miss them, because it is not easy to recover a wayward shot. Tiny sloped greens, well protected by deep bunkers. Front and back nine play as two different courses, very fun.

For the available public courses in central Pinellas this one is tough to beat. More value than Seminole Lakes, much more diverse than Mangrove Bay, much nicer than East Bay.

Set up the sim to auto-putt. Putting is frustrating and wastes a lot of time.

9/10 of my shots feel accurate, for my pure shots and my misses!

Food is really decent and the staff have always been superbly friendly and helpful.
