Very good course

Played here with another senior on a weekday noon. Easy to get to. Starts out wide and long, then gets hard. First par 3 is much harder than it looks. Fifth and sixth holes are killers for shorter hitters. Overall, most fairways are decently wide, greens are nice, enough challenges to up your score for sure. I'd like to play this a few more times to understand and score better.

Promising course

Played here on a cold day, with some snow still on the course (traps). Staff was great, very friendly. Layout was good, conditions will be better when the grass comes back. Greens in good shape. I'll play again when warmer.

Very good experience

I enjoy playing upscale courses that challenge me but not discourage me. This fits well. Staff was great, not a lot of folks playing. Conditions were quite good for November. Layout was challenging. Much better than a more 'recognized' course I played the day before in Pawleys Island.

Disappointed

I wanted to play a highly rated upscale course like Caledonia (which I loved), so I booked Heritage Club. Staff was great, parking was not, had to park on grass since lot was not adequate. Afternoon tee time, fairly crowded but not too many. Tees were not in good shape, many needed more grass. Most holes were fun and challenging. But several holes were 'quirky' to the point of unscoreable. One hole had the green with a slope away from the iron shot and just inches from the water, with a green that did not hold any shot. If you putted the ball 6" beyond the hole it was in the water. Not fair and not fun. Some other greens had slopes that were too extreme for fair play. Fairways and greens were in decent shape, but not to resort quality, Overall, skip this and play some others that are cheaper. fairer and more fun. All this IMHO.

Course in dis-array

This course used to offer two very good 18's. Now, I don't know what is going on. There are three 9's but only two were open. The front nine was very good, only got lost once due to poor signage. But the second 9 was a mess. Play some holes skip some holes. I'll play elsewhere until they get their mind set.

Quirky greens hurt this course

Playing Giants Ridge and Wilderness on a fun golf outing. This is a resort course and was very good except for the greens. Too many of the greens had man-made hardness that served no positive purpose. By this I mean greens with extreme tiers that no one except low handicapper can get close to mastering. They were not natural at all, and were a real downer for an otherwise excellent course. It's ok to have fast greens with different sections for pin placements. But to have small sections with10 foot height differences and place the pin there does nothing good. Service was excellent.

Very good resort course

On a trip to play Giants Ridge and Wilderness. Started at Legends. Excellent course design, except that too many holes were not fun for a 14 handicapper. By that I mean several par 4's were 400+ from the white tees and 250 or less from next set of tees, They need a set of tees at 5800 yards or so, not to choose between 6100 and 5100. Also, for a resort course to NOT have GPS on its carts lowers the experience for the cost paid. Also no one around to clean clubs after the round. Not much service.

Upscale golf.

Mostly good aspects of the day, some not. Staff was friendly, course was in great shape, challenging for 15 handicappers. Practice range was great. But some things missing for an upscale golf facility. No GPS on the carts. No help after the round to clean the clubs or take them to the bag drop. Just had to tote my dirty clubs myself to my car. All the staff disappeared.

Know before you go

Second time I played here, great reputation, great service, good price, course conditions were very good, speedy round. Be aware before you play here, most of the holes have elevated greens, up 10-20 feet above fairway height, with very steep heavily grassed banks. So if you cannot make a high shot with soft landing you will be asked to make difficult pitch shots to the green on most of the holes. The greens are hard, fast and true; they do not hold anything but a perfect approach shot. I'm a 14 handicap with pretty good pitch shot skills, and it was very hard to get shots to hold the green.

Excellent course conditions

Played this course on a wet, windy day. Course conditions were great, grass in the fairways and smooth greens. There are several forced carries over water, more mentally challenging than difficult. The staff was superb! They did not charge me until I completed the round, since they weren't sure I'd stick it out. I'll be back.

Consistent

Played on a really windy day, temp was ok but wind was strong enough to move my ball on the green. The starter was a nice guy, but the cashier in the pro shop was not friendly at all. He seemed more concerned with me not teeing off ANY before my set time, even though the course was near empty. This has happened here before.

Thank you for taking the time to review Tiffany Greens Golf Club. We are sorry to hear you may have had a negative experience with any individual on our staff. This is not acceptable and by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We welcome any further feedback in regards to your personal experience and what we can do to improve. Thank you for choosing to golf with us and we hope to see you again soon.

Good option on a rainy day

Played here on a rainy day while heading south back home. Staff was nice, fast round since not many golfers. Greens in good shape, decent fairways. Design was average. Not a bad choice.

Enjoyable course

Played here on a Friday using a 'Hot Deal' to save some money. Course was in very good shape, but pace of play was not great. A five-some ahead of us slowed play quite a bit. But this is an enjoyable course for all.

Very good local course

Played on a wet day in chilly conditions. Course has been here many years, but it was in the best condition I've ever seen. Grass everywhere, thick rough, great greens. Local knowledge really helps on this course, as some hazards are not obvious, and long straight drives are not always rewarded. I'd certainly play again.

Fascinating course

Great local course. Played on a Saturday afternoon in windy and wet conditions. Design was a bit quirky but fun. Absolutely gorgeous views of the water. But this is a parkland course, not links. Some of the fairways would 'cross over' between two holes, not a normal design. Many holes were very tight driving holes, tree lined on both sides. Tees were not level on many holes. Par 3's were long. Local knowledge would have helped.

Good local course

Played here with a friend on a Thursday afternoon. Conditions were wet, played behind a small group of ladies. Pace was ok. Layout was average. It was clear that their summer had been dry. Friendly staff. Good local course overall, not great.

Great course in great setting

Played as a single on a Wednesday mid-day. Starter was great in prepping me for the course. Lots of blind shots, but aim for the 'v' and go. Condition of course was great, grassy fairways, large but tricky greens. Most greens were on mounds, so practice your flop shots. Lots of local knowledge here. My only problem was the 4 groups that let me play through: it's always hard to play well as strangers watch. Great experience.

Great course, experience can be improved

Played here on a Sunday afternoon, hot as the devil. Location is north of Memphis, in the boonies a bit. Clubhouse, range, and practice areas are superb. Course layout is great, but be sure to play the right tees. Playing longer than you can hit will take the fun away. Just a pure joy hitting from the fairways, not so from the bunkers. The greens were excellent too. But only one water source on the course, and the cart service for beverages only came by once in the round. Overall, an excellent experience on an upscale course.

Fun course, lots of potential

This course has an excellent links style layout, with mixed course conditions. Most of the course was in excellent shape, but significant portions of the fairways and greens and tees were not playable. And the amenities were just not there, and old clubhouse in a double-wide, just no money available for these items. But the layout of the course made it a fun day. I'd play here again.

Great wet course

Played here on a very wet Monday morning, walked the front 9, rode the back 9. It's a fairly easy course, pretty open, with great greens.
