First time here, will be back.

Overall, a great day. Finished our round in 4 hours & 45 minutes. And this was in high season on a beautiful Saturday. Course staff was great. All very friendly. The clubhouse is a bit tired and it shows, but you come to a course to play golf after all. Course played well. Good layout for the weekenders and my 16 handicap. My biggest complaint was the food service. Not the cart girl - she was working her tail off and was very friendly. But she didn’t have any food options and the staff/starter/greeters could have given us a warning and said something so we would’ve planned accordingly or gotten something from the restaurant inside. Or, the cart girl could’ve said something to the effect of - call the restaurant, place an order, and I’ll have someone drive it out for you. That’s the small additional customer service that goes the extra mile. But don’t get me wrong - still had a great time. Pace of play was backed up here and there but honestly, it worked itself out and on a public course it wasn’t terrible. Would’ve been nice to have seen a Marshall - didn’t see one all round. I’ll be back. Update the clothing selection in the pro shop - little outdated.

Excellent (with a few exceptions)

I'll start by saying there's not much to complain about with the Wynn Golf Club. I'll be honest. But with the hefty green fees that accompany playing here, I feel like a few comments are allowed and not entirely out of order. Let it be known this is a great course and one of the most unique experiences in all of golf. (It'll be sad to see this course go - anything of historic value in Vegas goes fast and tossed out quick. This is the former Desert Inn Golf Course that's soon to be turned into 9 holes and a big lagoon with family water activities.) The staff here is excellent and friendly. The well-appointed and beautiful locker rooms looks like it could be transported to a 1950s era New England country club. I recommend getting there early, if you can. One of those 'take-it-all-in' type of experiences and you certainly don't want to rush this moment. You're immediately paired with a caddie (there's one per foursome). Charlie was our caddie and he was terrific! He would give us tips, history, help us read the greens and pin placement, club selection and other useful info. My only thought here is that the caddie experience does make you play rather fast, and always on the go. Great for pace of play, but not much in the way of soaking it in. The course has its challenges, but the layout is relatively player friendly, for most levels. Played at the end of summer and the course was an A- / B+ at best and could have been better (it was summer in the desert after all).

Beautiful course surroundings, average course conditions

Course layout plays long, keep that in mind when hitting from the tips. Setting and surroundings are beautiful: protected little microcosm of weather in the valley too, not much wind, lots of sun exposure. Course conditions are average at best, especially for what you're paying. No driving range (big disappointment for an $80+ round and hitting driver off the 1st tee - so much for warming up.) Suggestion to mgmt., install one of those net-like ranges nearby for warm up - you have the real estate to do so, better than nothing. Fairways were a big let down, very dry, pockets of dirt, divots, bumps, and gravel noticed. Greens in good shape, but played fast (again, lots of sun exposure for the later-in-the-morning, mid-day rounds, especially during warmer seasons). Water is in play somewhat, but mostly avoidable. Course plays well for the L-to-R, R-toL open-hitter. Pace of play was slow (expect that on weekends).
