Bent Tree Country Club
Played On 01/24/2024Great Course-SLOW PLAY!!!!
Loved the course, hated the waiting on each hole. There was a fivesome on one hole, other holes had people talking, looking for their ball, etc. when they should be hitting!!
Get a Marshall and speed up the play, please!
Golf Club At Fleming Island
Played On 03/22/2019Nice Course
First time playing the course, will play again. My only complaint was the pace of play. Need a marshall to keep things moving or at least placards in the cart saying the times per hole.
Hyde Park Golf Club

Play here when I visit the city. Love the classic feel of the course, with the moss hanging from the trees. Fairways are hard and sparse which are tough to hit from, greens are slow, especially after playing better maintained courses. I very rarely play from preferred lies, but here it is a must, at least during the winter.. Knowing that going in makes it a fun, laid back round of golf which is nice.
Eagle Landing Golf Club

Play here whenever I visit Jax. One of my favorite courses, especially with a GolfNow deal. Greens are great and consistently fast. Busy course but they work hard to keep play moving. Highly recommended.
Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club
Played On 02/14/2018Nice Course, Slow Pace
Played here on a cold, wet day with a Golfnow deal. Course is in great shape, nice fairways, fast, consistent greens. Would love to play here more often when I visit if it were cheaper.
HOWEVER, I played the front nine alone,it wasn't busy.. Got to the 10th hole, saw a 3some at the tee, and a 4some on the green for at least 10 minutes. If the course had a ranger it would help. I played the back nine again.
Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/13/2018Fun To Play. Don't Get Lost! :)
Played here on a wet windy day. Golfnow deal was like 20 bucks. Fun course in good shape. Will play again.
PS, listen to the Starter when he tells you where some of the holes are located on the course. I drove my cart around the street 'til by luck I found the tee (maybe #9)?
Eagle Landing Golf Club
Played On 12/14/2017Nice Course with Great Greens
Played quite a few courses in the area, and Eagle Landing ranks right up there with some of the best ones. The greens are consistently fast and in great shape. Overall the course is in great condition and I would not hesitate to recommend it, especially with the lunch and beer included!
Slammer and Squire Golf Course at World Golf Village
Played On 11/01/2017One of My New Favorites
I'll begin with the fact that the reason I played this course was a surprising Hot Deal ($30).
Got to the course and was told that it was cart path only because they had just done their fall overseeding on the fairways. As long as the greens were not aerated I was fine with that, although it was often A long walk :-).
Course was fairly deserted because of the overseeing, thus the price. Great condition. Consistent quick greens and layout.
I wish they would have more hot deals like this but will probably not happen. Too bad because a lot of people are missing out on a great course.

Played On 04/06/2017Nice Open Course with Great Greens
Read the reviews, got a deal, and played. As the other reviewers have noted, the amenities are still under construction, and judging by the shop talk, well behind schedule. Pleasantly surprised at the layout, all the courses I had played while visiting the Charlotte area were of the hilly, hazard ridden, shot management style. Nice to able to see the pin out there and try to bomb it without too much fear of a hazard. This course suited my game better as the front nine is open, the back nine more narrow, with houses, power lines, and trees. So you get 2 different course types, nice!
The greens were in the best shape out of the 5 courses I've played in the Charlotte area, even better than Westport GC. Very fast, but true. I got lucky and played through some groups so it was wide open, but behind me it was backed up. I could see this course being very popular. I will return.
Westport Golf Course
Played On 04/05/2017Fun Course with the Best Greens Around
Played it 2 days in row, first day was tough as there are numerous blind greens. Doglegs left and right, uphill, downhill, with hazards running through. They had given me a course guide describing the holes, which I totally forgot about in my hurry to get out. Reading that and playing it again made a more enjoyable experience. Being a visitor to NC, I wasn't used to the hilly course management style golf. This course was my favorite out of the 3 other hilly courses I played, with very good fast greens, and in generally better shape. On my list to play again.
Thanks for your honest and detailed feedback! We are working very hard to have this course in its best condition in years. Hopefully the next time you come out, you will notice a huge difference!
