horrible right now, but one day will be a gem! if they can be bothered

Should be a wonderful track. i understand how difficult it must be with Covid, furloughs, revenue loss etc. But most courses are in the same boat and have done a better job of managing the upkeep. The overall condition of this course is shocking. Most Tee boxes like playing out of rough. Once you tee your ball, you are still hitting out of grass! Fairways I can live with, bit long, but ok. Rough in places a ball graveyard..I understand it rewards good placement off the tee. But we are not playing in the US open! it is the greens that are the real problem. they are simply horrible. more dirt than grass and what grass there is, is not cut short enough. i usually shoot high 70's/low 80's and walked off with a 94 and feeling I hit the ball tee to green really well. If you can cope with not putting, give it a go to enjoy the layout and the decisions you need to make, lot of risk / reward here.. Hopefully one day soon they can address the greens and sort out general maintenance and then I would happily play this course every week. I dont mind paying them $45 for the round, they need to get back on their feet, but just simple things like moving the tees around to let areas recover seem easy to do but overlooked, a lack of care . Also, at least 6 holes had standard cups, no noodles.despite the current mandates, no real care being given..

Tough course, but worth playing

I love and hate this course. Love it because it is well maintained, beautiful to look at and some of the holes make you shake on the tee box, greens very quick but fair. Hate it because simple shots end up in the water and it gets in your head. I am a solid low 80's player on most courses in Miami but walk out into this and hope to break 100. Blue monster and crandon the only other courses in Miami I play that I feel the same way about. Strange that at $80 for a early weekend tee time this course isn't booked out, always able to get in it and I am happy about that..service good, course ranger full of good advice and tolerance when you try to take his advice and fail. Playing again tomorrow and I am going to own this course...
