You guys have missed one of the great destinations (albeit a little further in travel). The Garden Route of South Africa: The Links at Fancourt, top 50 in the world and #1 in South Africa; and its sister courses Montagu (#8) and Outiniqua (#16) al at the fantastic Fancourt golf facility and Hotel. Around the corner from Fancourt is George GC (#12) a classic gem. Then within 1 hr drive away at Knysna you have Pezula Championship Course (#17) and the Nicklaus signature Simola (#20); or in the opposite direction Pinnacle Point a breathtaking Pebble Beach -like layout (#22). There are very few golf destinations that can match the quality and certainly price value than this area of South Africa

All good no doubt, but hard to be the experience of Bandon Dunes for a pure golf resort. Granted, history puts St. Andrews in a class by itself.

These articles inevitably ignore both the West Coast, and the Desert Southwest. Finally, it's like Hawaii doesn't exist. FYI to all of you -- Arizona (Quintero/Troon North/Wickenburg Ranch), San Diego (Aviara/La Costa), Palm Springs (Classic Club/La Quinta Mountain/Indian Wells Celebrity), Maui (King Kamehameha/Wailea Emerald/Kapalua Plantation/Pukalani, and Las Vegas (Cascata/Dragon Ridge/Rio Secco/Wolf Creek) each have courses eminently worthy to be featured here ....

unbelievable that Myrtle Beach not included.

MB is a great trip every year and it's especially a great value trip as we've spotlighted. This piece focused on growing and newsy destinations.

How could guys miss Cabot Links in Nova Scotia with the #9 and #43 world's best golf courses anywhere on the planet!!!... And you can play at a fraction of the costs of your Top Ten here.....good thing actually....our best kept golf course secret will stay that way!!!

We named Cape Breton a Top 10 destination to visit in 2016. Hardly a secret. Hope they still have room for you ;)

Agree with David, With 3 of the to ten rated courses in Canada within a few kilometers of each other, it's a sure bet to be on your list.

Until the golf villas are updated our group will not return. I have heard this from others outside our group as well. We didn't even
get a response when we voiced our displeasure. The golf and dining choices are great but outside of the expensive Sanctuary Hotel the options for lodging are substandard.

Alberta ??? How about Atlantic Canada ? PEI ? Cape Breton?

This article is geared towards new openings and events. We covered Cape Breton in this piece last year. PEI is a great place to visit every year and mentioned as one of my favorite value destinations: https://www.golfadvisor.com/articles/best-value-golf-destinations-16511.htm
