Any considerations for riding for knee replacement golfers?

Hey guys, I've not ever been to bandon and I'm absolutely jonesing to go but most of my friends are not that untested. They've either been before or don't wanna spend the $$.
Would this be a trip to do alone? I'm not even close to shy so I would think it might be fun....
Input?
Thx!

If you go to a website called "Golfwrx.com" and go into the forums of travel, find pacific northwest, you will find that going "Solo" is a thing and happens all the time. Ill be going solo here soon and cant wait.....got tired of waiting for my buddies to want to go, so solo it is!

I am going solo this Friday and looking forward to the challenge! We are driving from the San Francisco area, wife booked a 3,500sq ft house on the ocean and I get to play golf. Love the wife!!

driving from san francisco to bandon dunes in January, is it faster taking highway 101 or interstate 5? Pros and cons for each route

Why skimp on paying the caddy when they go 36? Isn't the second round of the day harder to work than just one? If anything, it should deserve a bonus and not a discount

FANTASTIC TRIP

We flew from London to Seattle, drove to eugene and played a couple of great courses there, then we drove to Florence, did a bit of casino action and played Florence links, a great value course. Then onto bandon, we loved them all but we surprisingly liked bandon trails the most. A great golf trip. A lot of travel for us Londoners but totally worth it

I live in San Diego. After checking flight times and factoring in the drive times or the ridiculous rates United charges for flying in to North Bend it seems easier to fly to Scotland :)

Try Eugene, only about two hours away. More flights and usually cheaper.

Are there rates for ex-veterans.

Matt you left out the airport at Bandon State (S05). The paved runway is not long (3601ft) but it can easily handle a small twin or single prop and the people at the airport are very helpful. I fly in there in a Skylane turbo 182 leaving a 10 min shuttle ride to Bandon Dunes. I'm not sure about fueling jets but the price of 100LL was very reasonable. There is plenty of transit parking and the airport crew watches over the planes lovingly. The only caution needed is the morning (and sometimes all day) ocean fog so having a instrument license is nice for leaving early in the am when there is generally low fog.

Great article only heightens my expectations of our CGA April trip. Are there Senior (70+) tees, less than 5400 yards, at all the courses? Is playing the courses similar to St. Andrews Old, Kingsbarn and Carniustie?
Thanks in advance.

Nice article Matt TY!

We put in for the Old Course lottery at St Andrews (we went last year too) and Bandon will be our backup trip if we dont get in this go around.

I like the one-stop shop concept of being in "Golf Prison" with all the courses and amenities right there. Eat, sleep, golf, drink...rinse and repeat!
