Have to agree about Punta Espada- spectacular course.

The original Pebble Beach of Mexico is a 27 hole course called Bajamar outside of Ensanada. Played it around 2002.

In the Dominican Republic, Punta Espada (by Nicklaus) is much more exciting and for my money (and it requires lots) a much better golf experience......Corales is very good, Teeth of the Dog is great, Punta Espada is spectacular and rivals if not exceeds Pebble Beach.

What about Bandon Dunes????

Really well-researched and great article. I might add Punta Espana to the list for courses in the Dominican Republic. Many prefer it over Teeth of the Dog and Corales

I would also add Tralee, and Buenavista in northern Tenerife should not be overlooked. Your list is quality though and Thracian Cliffs where I had a hole in one ranks with the world's best!

The Makai course in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii has a wonderful cliffside ocean par three, althought the rest of the course doesn't measure up to the Prince course nearby.

Which golf course?

NSWGC was tagged by Greg Norman (a member) on his facebook page to Pebble Beach in a photo from atop the 5th hill - "Pebble Beach eat your heart out".
Truly spectacular course with a better array of holes than Pebble.
If you are in Sydney any time make sure you play it, there is limited outside play.
Also add in Clearwater Bay in Hong Kong for a stunning course beside the South China Sea.

Well done for featuring Chisholm Links,mDunedin, a must play if your in the South Island of New Zealand. The 300 yard par 4 third hole is the best 300 yarder in the world and on the ninth during a televised match, Bob Charles hit a 3 iron and Greg Turner hit a 4 iron for their third shots on a par 4. Andrew Magee and Todd Hamilton could notbreach in three!
