Few professional golfers exude cool more easily than Fred Couples. Miguel Angel Jimenez has that Most-Interesting-Golfer-in-the-World aura, but his coolness is that of an eccentric and mysterious duke while Couples' is that of effortless insouciance. Couples' swing is one I admire often on YouTube because it is the model of almost-too-slow tempo that I only wish I could successfully ingrain. That rhythm makes it one of the most unrelatable - and therefore fun to watch - professional swings of all time. My own swing tends be out-of-control quick, so a couple calm minutes' reflection on Freddie's move generally helps me achieve some semblance of balance.
But there is one way in which I'm proud to be the same as Fred Couples: I don't wear a golf glove. Never have, never plan to. I tried it a couple times when I was a kid, but the whole ritual of taking it off after a shot, putting it back on for the next and taking it off and hanging it out my back pocket while chipping and putting was tons more trouble than it was worth. Besides, any shot I've ever hit with a glove on has felt like I am half-detached from the club. The only exception I'll make is for rain gloves, when necessary.
As a result, I am finicky about the grips on my clubs, but Winn DriTac and I get along famously. I've strayed a couple times, with disastrous results. When it's hot here in Florida, I just make sure to have a damp towel on hand and I am good to go even in the most hellish of conditions. The savings of hundreds of dollars per year doesn't hurt, either.

I've never been a glove guy either, as stated they're a pain all the way around.
I'm with you. Florida is too hot for a glove, and I don't play better with one anyway! I save money on gloves, and save the aggravation of getting the glove off and on. I do keep rain gloves in my bag but in most cases won't be playing in the rain anyway!
