Nicklaus Design's Escena Golf Club in Palm Springs is among California's best public courses

Escena Golf Club in Palm Springs, California has a stunning location that makes playing a round here worth it for the views alone. With a backdrop provided by the San Jacinto Mountains and clear blue skies framing every hole, the course is as scenic as it is challenging.

Ranked as one of the top 10 public golf courses in California, this Nicklaus Design is known for its unobstructed sight lines and generous driving corridors that give you a clear view of how to navigate each hole. The layout has plenty of challenges with strategically placed bunkers, water hazards, and undulating greens. Swaying palms and native desert landscaping accent the course throughout. It's a formidable test but at the same time there is ample room on the course.

In addition to the golf course, there is also a short-game practice area, warm-up tee, and a practice putting green. After your round, head to the Escena Lounge & Grill in the beautiful clubhouse for a drink or a bite to eat. Offering more than just standard golf course fare, it has become one of the most popular gathering venues in Palm Springs.

Just played Escena 5 days ago on 2/12. Loved the course from the clubhouse to the 18th green. Will play this course every time I'm in Palm Springs, without a doubt.
