For the golfer on your holiday list: balls, caps, bags and wedges from Srixon, Cleveland Golf

So you have a golfer on your list and you're trying to figure out what to get him or her for the holidays. For most folks, buying a whole set of clubs -- or even a set of irons or driver -- probably isn't a good idea. It's a big ticket purchase, to be sure, and for a whole set of clubs, golfers should probably be custom fit.

But that's not to say with a little information, you couldn't get your favorite golfer a wedge, golf balls or accessories, which make perfect holiday gifts for golfers. One company that has you covered is Srixon, Cleveland Golf, which offers a full lineup of clubs, accessories and even some apparel. With that in mind, here are some options for the golfers in your life:

This is a category for which Cleveland Golf has long been known and it continues to excel. For the higher handicapper, you might want to consider the new Smart Sole 2.0 Wedges. The Smart 2.0 C Wedge has a wide and forgiving sole that helps eliminate chunked shots. The Smart 2.0 S Wedge eliminates embarrassment in the bunkers with the right amount of bounce and loft to practically guarantee that golfers will get out of the bunker in their first attempt. (Starting at $109)

For all players -- and better players especially -- are the 588 RTX 2.0 Wedges. With its tour-driven shape and profile, these wedges provide the most versatility and precision. Plus, Rotex face technology 2.0 takes spin control to yet another level with 15 percent sharper grooves and a new micro-milled Rotex face pattern that gives these wedges the most surface roughness the USGA will allow. And starting Nov. 26, buyers get an instant $30 rebate with any purchase of the 588 RTX 2.0 Wedge ($129.99 before rebate).

Played by pros like Graeme McDowell, Keegan Bradley and Inbee Park, Srixon's Z-Star and Z-Star XV golf balls are premium tour-proven performance balls. The new Z-Star balls combine the next generation of Spinskin and speed dimples innovation to give better players incredible feel and control. There's also the Energetic Gradiant Growth technology for superior distance.

What is Spinskin, you might ask? It's a new coating that increases frictional force by 18 percent and overall cover softness by 21 percent compared to previous Z-Star editions, which translates into more greenside spin and touch.

And now, the Z-Star and Z-Star XV golf balls come with a $10 instant rebate. ($44.99 before rebate).

Is there anything cooler than a pro-line staff bag? If your favorite golfer rides most of the time, Srixon has some attractive options. The staff bag might be a little big for the average golfer, but the Srixon Cart Bag has that staff bag look with lots of features, and it's not as bulky. Despite its size, it's still just 6.75 pounds and features 14 individual full-length dividers, oversized putter sleeve, three grab-handles, a pen sleeve and an umbrella sleeve. ($219.99).

For the majority of golfers, however, a stand bag is probably the way to go, and Srixon has you covered there, too. The Z Four Stand Bag weighs just 4.5 pounds and has a strategic eight-pocket layout. Its CSS (Comfort Suspension System) straps make it easy for walking, and its EZ Grab trunk handles make it easy to get in and out of your car. The Z Four Stand Bag also has a scorecard sleeve and insulated hydration sleeve for carrying cold drinks. ($179.99).

Perhaps the safest bet and least expensive gift idea for golfers would fall under this category. Since we're going into winter, a Srixon Beanie might be just the ticket. (These also work great for Scottish or Irish golf trips any time of year.) Made of quality fleece and offered in a variety of colors, Srixon Beanies retail for $21.99.

Of course you can never go wrong with a Cleveland Tour Cap, which are worn by Cleveland Golf's tour staff. Cleveland's Performance Tour Cap, for example, is $25.99 or you can go with an edgier flat bill cap for $29.99. Other headwear options include the 6P Cap and Srixon S Cap ($24.99).

For the hands, Cleveland Golf and Srixon offers a variety of gloves at different price points. One of the most popular is the durable and affordable Srixon Hybrid Glove, which features a Cabretta leather palm combined with hybrid top for ideal fit and breathability. A Lycra insert positioned across the knuckles and fingers provides flexibility and added comfort. Other glove offerings include the Z-Star Premium Cabretta Leather ($18.99) and Srixon Rain Gloves ($18.99), essential for any golfer who's willing to play in inclement weather.

The Srixon Z545 irons and Driver have changed the way I view how golf should be played.  I gained immediate distance with my irons.  In years past I have hit Titleist AP2s and Tailor-made RBZ blades.  For both of my previous sets, my 8-iron went 150 yards.  This year, I hit my Z545 8-iron 162 yards.  The “V” shaped bounce gives maximum forgiveness in difficult lies, and the toe weight instilled in longer irons allows for not only a better feel, but more club head speed and distance.  As far as the driver, I did not gain any distance, however, I did gain a lot more forgiveness.  To date, this has been by far my most accurate year off the tee in 18 years of golf.  Siren has allowed me to look at the game with the confidence of a PGA Pro.  It is a special feeling to be able to tee it up knowing that you have equipment that out performs anything I’ve used before by a significant margin.  It is clear to me, that Srixon kept to their promise of excellence.  In my mind, the only question left to ask is, when will you make the switch to better?
