Everybody knows Pebble Beach is beautiful. So are all those other legendary seaside and mountain courses you've read about in golf magazines or seen featured on golf calendars - Royal Dornoch, Old Head, Pacific Dunes, Banff Springs, etc. We told you so in this story of the world's 50 most scenic courses.

This list is different. It's time to recognize some incredibly scenic golf holes from courses you may not recognize. These courses often play the role of backup dancer to the star attractions in their region and sometimes even at their own resorts! They're still plenty good with their own magical holes worthy of a postcard.

In the spirit of "eclectic 18" lists, we chose these scenic holes based on the number on their actual scorecards. There are probably hundreds more out there. Let us know your favorite scenic hole at an "under the radar" course in the comments below.
