Hills Course at LPGA International in Florida leads Power Rankings for the week of Jan. 11

As we enter the depths of winter across the U.S., Florida golf courses are beginning to take over the Power Rankings, at least for the week of Jan. 11.

Coming in first this week is the Hills Course at LPGA International, located on the First Coast in Daytona Beach, one of two championship courses at the facility (the other being the Jones Course). The Hills has scored particularly strong marks over the course of 2015 for conditioning.

The course rated 14th on Golf Advisor's Top 25 Florida courses in 2014. We'll announce the final 2015 list later this month, and the course, which received 55 5-star reviews in the past year (out of 79 total reviews), stands a good chance of making being included once again.

For those of you attending the PGA Tour's CareerBuilder Challenge in the Palm Springs/La Quinta area of southern California, a nearby course made the list at no. 9: Indian Springs Golf Club, a classic layout in Indio that dates back to 1962. Indian Springs has long been known as one of the better courses you can play for under $100 during peak golf season.
