Power Rankings: A Pennsylvania "Royal" tops the list for the second quarter of 2018

After a, particularly challenging winter and early spring across much of the country, American golfers are hitting the course in droves. And here at Golf Advisor, we're coming off a stellar last few months in terms of website visitors, pageviews and - thanks to you - golfer-generated reviews.

As we look toward the third major championship of the year in a few weeks - the 147th Open Championship at Carnoustie Golf Links' Championship Course - it seems fitting that the leader in our Power Rankings from 2018's second quarter is a course whose name invokes the British Isles: Royal Manchester Golf Links in Mount Wolf, Pennsylvania, midway between Lancaster and Harrisburg.

"It was such a treat," wrote Keith1499399, a Golf Advisor Top 1000 Contributor who played the course recently, of Royal Manchester's conditions. He added, "[Nowhere] in my home town can I find greens as perfect. The course had dried out nicely in the two days prior to our return so it was one of the most enjoyable rounds ever. I'll definitely be returning to Royal Manchester every time I'm in the area."

The remainder of the Q2 2018 top 10 list features an interesting mix of courses, both geographically and stylistically. There are resort favorites and locally beloved publics alike. Have you played one of these recently, or are you considering making the trip? Check out the list below and give us your thoughts.
