It is an absolute joke that Pebble Beach, calls itself a public course. I am a veteran, and know I will never play there because of rates. I have many relatives that live in Long Island N.Y., they can play "Beth page Black for $38.00 walking.

You would think that even Pebble Beach, once or twice a year, make it somewhat affordable for the hard working person to be able to enjoy a round there once in their life time,  Extreme greed, under the banter of Public course, so sad.  Larry Blaylock, Fairfax, Ca.

Is $525 worth it? That's up to the individual, I suppose, but the fact that they've only raised it $30 in the past 8 years is commendable and the increase is negligible. Not sure how 30 more dollars becomes a deal breaker if you were willing to shell out $495. Anytime you play a special course where history's been made, you forget the price you paid when you reflect upon it for years to come. Pay the money. Play Pebble...pray the wind doesn't blow 40 mph, either.

when you are at the mercy of the weather, it aint worth it since they offer NO rain checks. I'd pay even more if they offered that. I have the money, but I desire the enjoyment more and I cant play in the rain anymore. the wind?  well I could still shoot pics! LOL

My friend actually did get a raincheck this year (didn't think they did it, but the conditions were just unplayable...not even to shoot pics). But it's not cool to pay $500 and have to play 99.9% of the time regardless of the weather.

they are just following donald trump's lead at all his coursesfor the rich and famous.

Myself and two friends played this course in 1985 when it was $100.00 per player.  It wasn't worth it then and it sure wouldn't be worth it now!  Granted it's a beautiful piece of land but severely overrated.

My friend lived near there and played it many times back in the 90's. I was unable to fly out there to join him due to family business back east. He echos your comment. He only played it many times on a "special" circumstance!

Overrated course.  $525 is apparently not enough so they have to nickel and dime you for a cart?  $80 for a caddy?  I'd rather fly to the UK and Ireland to play for that kind of money.

The number one comment about the golf is that it is too expensive. This is given as the reason for the number of active players dwindling. Now these clowns have just raised the price to $2100 for a foursome, plus! So much for promoting this great game!

it's only a pubic course so they can rape the gophers.  I'd never donate to Eastwood and Uberoff.  I can afford it.  I do regret not getting on the plane back in the 90's  when I could break par!

I like to walk but they don't let you take or rent a push/pull cart   If you rent clubs from them their bags are not very friendly.  At my age I don't want to mess up my neck/back shouldering a heavy bag for 18 holes.

$40 for a cart.. They really should make $200 or free is you cant actually walk. Anyone who takes a cart when they can walk that track is beyond lazy. Its one of the greatest walks in the world. Get out of your carts people, golf is meant to be walked!

assuming you can walk that is. dont confuse walking with the ability to actually play a good golf game.  If everybody that can walk played that course it would take over 6 hours to play it.

Wow. Over $600 to play pebble. Not a good sign
